i stood against the wall as dally got something out of his dresser drawer, "are you wet?" he asked johnny. "i'm okay." johnny answered. "hey stupid, take your sweatshirt off you'll freeze to death." dally told ponyboy as he threw the boys a gun. "don't point that thing at me, it's loaded." dally said as walked towards me, i moved out of the way and he got some money. "here's money." dally said as he handed ponyboy a roll of money. "i'm not anxious to tell your brother and get my head kicked in." dally said as he sat down next to pony on the bed. "then don't!" ponyboy answered. i raised my eyebrows at ponyboy's anger and stared at them. "this is a little big, but it's dry." dally said as he handed pony a sweatshirt. dally told the boys what to do and i just stood back and listened.
when the boys left i rubbed my eyes and sat down on the bed. dally leaned back and now sat against the wall. "jesus christ." dally said. "i know." i said still sort of in shock.
