Louis was finally about to get out of that goddamn airport and to say that he was excited would be an understatement.

What wasn't added in the previous chapter was the fact that Louis didn't like travel...he liked visiting new places, especially with his friends and family...the opportunity to tour and meet all of his amazing supporters always brought him great joy. However when it came to getting between two stops...that was something he wasn't very much fond off.

Simply because, as a kid, he used to get car sick all the time and would have to take certain medication so he wouldn't end up throwing up. When it came to busses, he had to have certain space to himself, "his corner", usually playing the guitar or singing to distract himself. When flying he couldn't do all of this, but Flying it stayed fine since he would usually  be sleeping through it all. However, this time he wanted to stay up, he had a wish to observe his surroundings, see people around him and possibly capture the beginning of this very new experience.

As soon as Louis was let off the plane, he went for the bathroom, wanting to freshen up and look some what decent as he left the airport. After all it's been a long day and an even longer flight.

He knew that there wasn't a chOnce that he would run into paparazzi since him coming to Spain wasn't something that was publicly announced. It was very much private and stayed between his family and some of the closest friends, that including Harry. The reason behind it was simple, they wanted for Louis to go on a vacation without the struggle of avoiding paparazzi, questions from nosey interviewers and speculations over the social media on his whereabouts and why he was there, all alone, in the first place. The teen needed a break and they were making sure that he go it.

"You look...decent"Louis sighed as he looked at himself in the mirror. He carefully observed his today's appearance, fixing the edges of his band t-shirt, pulling up his black skinny jeans, even messing up his caramel brown hair a bit and pulling down his black rey ban's. Louis even turned around, trying to catch how he looked from the behind, before he turned around again, trying to flash a confident smile to the mirror.

"Oh shut up...you look great"
...
Louis finally got out of the bathroom, his cheeks all of a sudden red as he looked around the airport in the search for the exit...maybe some coffee, the British teen wouldn't complain to that.

Louis pulled onto his suitcase, taking out his phone to see the message with all of the instructions that his parents had previously sent him, hoping it would help him as much as possible when he got off the flight and on the trip towards his apartment.

Louis would never admit it, but he was very much thankful that his parents had done this for him...he was very much thankful for his parents and just how they cared about not only the outcome of his trip, but how he felt, what he wanted to do with his life, who he chose to love,...

However, our blue eyed boy was too focused on his phone and instructions, pulling the luggage that was behind him as he went to what seemed to be the right direction. He was as said, too focused on his phone, that he hadn't noticed a teen around his age, the brunette teen also not being too careful like Louis, making the two bump into each other, the brunette quite literally falling on his ass. A sign that was in the brunette's hands flew over, a bottle of water rolling across the floor. Louis got the lucky end, him only tripping lightly.

Louis placed his phone back in the pocket, looking down at the brunette who still sat on the ground. However, he did catch something about the boy, he was calm, not giving much thought to what had happend, instead flashing him a very welcoming and friendly smile. In that moment, Louis felt a bit uneasy, this wave of fear came over him, but the way the brunette acted towards him and this situation, he felt as if he had known him and if that were to happen, Louis' whole media free trip would be ended then and there.

Still that didn't stop the British from going over to pick up the dropped stuff and back to the boy, giving him a hand and helping him up. The sea blue eyed boy gladly accepted the hand, pulling himself up and brushing his pants a bit. He handed him back his stuff once he seemed ready to take it back. Afterwards, Louis just stood their silently, looking at the boy, unsure of what he would do or say next...however, Louis most certainly did not see this and that was the fact that the sea blue eyed boy broke into a fit of laughter laughter.

"I'm so sorry-"

"Wow I always saw stuff like this happening those dramatic movies...guess there is a first time for everything"

"I guess so"

Louis couldn't help but laugh at that. The boy seemed to be very calm about it, even laughing it off. Louis in that moment felt...relieved, as if he could breathe normally. The sea blue eyed brunette looked down at his phone, his expression changing a bit, now him being the worried one. Louis felt the change, scratching the back of his neck.

"Well I am so sorry...it was nice...bumping into you, but I have to go and pick up-" The brunette placed the phone back in his pocket, right a way placing on another smile which caused Louis to smile too. It was the effect that this boy held, his smile was contagious and you just couldn't help, but smile with him. Louis liked that a lot.

"Yeah, yeah, of course...I should also be going"

Louis awkwardly scratched the back of his neck, he had broken off of his train of thoughts, remembering the reason he was at the airport in the first place and where he was actually supposed to be heading. That and to be honest, he felt a tad bit sad to be leaving this stranger without talking more or at least finding out his name. Of course he than remembered that he had a reason for being here and that "making friends" wasn't on the top of the priority list.

"Goodbye stranger" The brunette smiled cheekily, waving a bit as he was about to leave. Louis caught onto this game, returning the goodbye in the same manner, causing the two boys to laugh even more"Goodbye to you too stranger"

"Hey!"As the stranger was about to leave, Louis called out, remembering that he needed something to do. The boy was surprised to say the least, but also very much curious, as he turned around, once again facing Louis.

"Yeah?"

"Do you possibly know where the nearest exit is?"Louis asked, giving him a bit of a helpless look...it was true, Louis still had no clue where he was supposed to be leaving the airport. He would be lying if he said that he got it. The sea blue eyed broke out of his thoughts, his mouth making an "oh" shape before he took a couple of steps towards Louis, carefully explaining where the exit was.

"Oh...that I do...you just go straight and down does stairs, it should be on your left"

"Thank you" Louis who stood next to the boy, turned a bit to face him as he said his thank you, however the boy gave him a quick nod, not staying around for any longer...however he did seem to be in a rush.
...
"Hello young man" the taxi driver greeted Louis as he entered the car.

The man had messy raven hair, it was grown out and looking like there were a couple of curls here and there. His eyes were blue...reminding a bit about the ocean and just seemed to go perfectly with the Hawaiian t-shirt that he was wearing and black glasses. From the full appearance he seemed to be in his late thirties, he had a beard growing in a bit and a friendly smile on his face.

"Hello sir" Louis greeted the man as he entered the backseat, carefully closing the door behind him. Louis took a second to observe the man, he seemed to be and spoke so friendly with Louis, which made him not so nervous. Louis rarely took cabs, especially all alone, across the ocean, so he was glad that the man not only seemed calm, but also didn't say anything about him, maybe he didn't recognize him, which was always a plus.

"How are you today-"

"Wait...how did you know that I spoke English?"

In that moment, Louis realized he was in Barcelona, which he knew was in Spain, also leading to the fact that the dominant and more used language there was Spanish, so this most certainly caught him off guard. Louis straightened up a bit, swallowing a lump in his throat.

The man turned around, he laughed lightly, as he carefully looked behind him, making sure that no car was in his way when leaving the parking spot. He then went back to the wheel, casually adding.

"A lucky guess I suppose...that and the fact that you couldn't find the taxi line for the last...twenty minutes"

"I-"

"There was a sign, but you've missed it like five times" The man pointed at a sign that was near the exit and he was right...Louis had passed the sign at least five times, his mouth turning into an "oh" shape. The driver shrugged, his eyes now on the road in front of him. Louis picked up the fact that the man was very observant, yet seemed to speak so casually of it...like it was common knowledge...all which seemed interesting to Louis.

"Oh-"

"So kid...where are we going?"The man turned around, Louis realizing that he hadn't previously given him an address, rushing through his bag to find the phone where his parents had sent him the text with it. The man couldn't help, but chuckle at how nervous Louis was being. Louis finally managed to find his phone, trying to find the message as fast as possible, he really hated to make people wait on him.

"Oh of course...here...the address is j'adore le mar...28"

"You really aren't from these parts...the address is j'adore la mer"The man laughed a bit, correcting Louis' pronunciation of the street name. Louis felt a bit stupid about it, but than again, he was from the UK and the language he knew the best was English...he did take a couple of German classes, but he wouldn't call himself a pro nor seem to find use of it in this given situation. The taxi driver gave him a calm smile, as if he was telling him "Hey...it's fine...it's just a joke".

"Yeah, yeah...j'adore la mer"

"So...what brings you here...new kid" The man continued on as he set up the location on his GPS. Him clearly trying to ease the mood, which Louis appreciated a lot. He seemed to be a very nice and "chill" man, he didn't look like he knew him, which as as added, great for Louis and he didn't look like he was about to kidnapp him the singer...so what could possibly go wrong here?

"Curiosity I guess" Louis casually replied as he looked out the window, seeing the beautiful city on the other side of the glass.

The buildings, houses, shops, people, water...it all seemed to perfect and in that moment, he felt as if he could get used to it. Louis didn't lie with that answer...of course it wasn't the whole truth, but this was hid taxi driver, not his therapist. He however, when choosing where to "run off" wanted to go to Barcelona because it was one of the places he hasn't toured on yet...so it seemed like a whole new opportunity and space just so made for him.

"We'll you've picked the right place than...Barcelona is a great city, truly, it's full of many surprises...adventures even...and lets not forget...great alcohol!"

The man spoke just so freely as the drive went on, he had this certain energy to him, that made Louis feel a tad bit better about everything. He managed to make him laugh, which he hadn't done since he set off on this long and most certainly crazy journey. The man kept cracking jokes and Louis just couldn't hold it in, smile and laughter coming from the backseat.

"You aren't underaged right...cause if so, cross out that last part"

"Do they pay you extra to say that?" Louis asked as he chuckled lightly, causing the man to smile, going along with this game, poking a bit at it.

"Yeah, I get ten euro's to say that to every lost British kid that enters my taxi"

"You're really good at your job, if I were you, I'd ask for a raise...twenty or nothing" Louis laughed as he spoke, causing the man to shake his head a bit, giving it a fake thought before he chuckled.

"I'll definitely have to speak with my boss about that, kid"

"My name is Louis"

Louis realized that the man wanted to hear his name and at this point, the drive went normally. The man didn't recognize him nor say anything out of the ordinary...plus he really liked him, so what did he have to lose...it's not like he will see him ever again...right?

"Well Louis...my name is Richard, but I'd prefer to be known as Richie" the man replied, smiling lightly.

"You do give me Richie vibes!"Louis jumped up a bit, he spoke excitedly, however he did mess around a bit and the man now know as Richie had picked up on it, once again going along. He turned to look at Louis, fake gasping.

"That's what I told my husband!"

"...And what did he tell you?"Louis continued on, giving him a curious look, while Richie laughed, playfully slapping his own knee.

"Yeah...because it rhymes with bitchie"

"Your husband seems delightful"Louis couldn't help but break into laughter as he heard this, Richie sure was something, he wondered if all of the taxi drivers here were half as cool as Richie was. The two laughed as Richie went to check his GPS, humming a bit.

"He sure is...he's the one who encouraged me to move to Barcelona with him"

"So, you're not from here?" Louis tilted his head a bit, a bit surprised with that new revelation. Richie chuckled lightly, shaking his head.

"No...I was born and raised in New York"

"So, you're telling me that you are also...the new kid here" Louis looked as he was giving it a bit of a thought, before he started grinning, this cheeky look on his face.

"You did get me there...but I've lived here for the last...ten years...so you could say I've melted into this place"

Richie now really laughed, he really thought that Louis was something, he seemed like a "cool" kid. Richie as a person was really friendly and liked talking to people, especially telling them jokes, but not many of his passengers were like that. Richie's husband even tried to explain to him that not many people were like that, that some just wanted to get in and out of the car...however Richie wouldn't believe that.

"Wow...ten years, that is such a long time" Louis finally stopped laughing, going to look back at looking out the window as he got lost in his thoughts.

Louis was scared to think about the fact that he will be here until September, let alone staying here for ten years. It all seemed so new and unfamiliar to him...like how could a person stay so far away from their home, a place they grew up at, surrounded by people they loved and cared for. How could you just leave it all and go across the ocean?

"It is kid...that is also why I'm telling you to enjoy your time here...you don't know when you will get an opportunity like this ever again...so meet new people, go out, stay up all night...just don't take it for granted"

Richie also stopped cracking jokes since he noticed the sudden mood change, wanting to be as helpful as he could. He liked the kid, he seemed to be so pure, so protected from the whole world and what was happening in it, so Richie wasn't planning on being the one to expose him to all of it...it was Louis' story and it was up to him how he was going to write it out. Louis felt a bit relieved, he scratched the back of his need, softly speaking.

"Thank you Richie"

"No problem Louis" Richie replied and that's when he stopped the car. Louis was caught off guard by it, were they really there? I guess it is true what they say "Time flies by when you crack jokes with your taxi driver"...okay, you know how the quote goes.

"Well this is your stop...it will be...you know what, it's on the house" Richie was now also looking out the window, before he turned to the "money monitor" seeing the price that was set. He shook his head as he turned it off, causing Louis to jump in protest when he heard what Richie had just told him.

"Richie, don't be crazy, how much is it?"

"I insist, use that money to take some friends out for drinks...there is a great bar down the block from the apartments" Richie shook his head as Louis tried to hand him thirty euros. The man refused to hear of it, while the protagonist refused not to pay for the ride.

Louis felt guilty, he had money, he earned his money fair and square...he also knew how lucky and fortune he was to be able to be doing what he did and still make a great living out of it. So to not pay Richie, who seemed like a great human being and worked a minimum wage job...he felt guilty. But he couldn't just come up and tell him "Hey I am actually pretty famous in Britain and make a lot more than an average eighteen year old does so please let me pay for the ride". He, however, decided to keep on insisting, hoping that Richie would just give in and take the money.

"Richie...you don't have to...please let me pay for my ride..."

"It's true, I don't...but I like you kid, there is just something about you...I can't put a finger on it"

Richie just shook his head and Louis knew that this was the battle that he was going to lose. The man was much older than him and he felt bad about arguing with him. Louis knew that he would just have to find another way to pay him back and that he will do it. The caramel-brunette put the wallet back into his pocket, turning to Richie, who seemed to have a satisfied smile.

"Well thank you Richie, you seem great as well"

"Many years of practice" Richie chuckled as he went to set up his GPS for the next ride of the day, Louis realizing this was his cue to leave the taxi, he looked out the window, swallowing a lump in his throat as he grabbed the door handle. He looked back at Richie, trying to put on a brave smile. All of this was really happening and Louis wasn't sure how to face it.

"I guess I'll see you around"

"Um...here is my number, If you ever need a taxi...or some great like extremely great advice, you've got it" Richie saw the look on the kids face and felt the need to help him out...he remembered how it felt to be the new kid here, how it is to leave home and adapt to the new surroundings, so he took out a piece of paper handing it to Louis with a encouraging smile. Louis looked down at the paper, gladly taking it as he looked back at Richie, small smile on the British man's face.

"Thank you again Richie...it means a lot"

"I will now be able to pay you back" Louis teased a bit, causing Richie to playfully roll his eyes, chuckling a bit, he looked at Louis and out the window. Louis nodding his head.

"Sure kid...now go off, you and I both have a crazy day ahead of us"
...
Louis got out of the taxi, carefully observing his surroundings. He was in-front of an apartment complex near the heart of Barcelona, yet far enough that he needed to catch a metro to get there. The building seemed like any average building, possibly built twenty years ago. It had five stories and from the front of it, you could see ten separate terraces. The building was black and white, seeming as if needed to be repainted...a bush of roses and many flowers grew all the way to the top floor, pretty much taking up the whole building. Louis really liked that...this place had a certain charm to it.

Sure, Louis could've went out and booked himself a stay at one of the five star hotel with room service 24/7 or possibly rented out a luxurious house with a private pool and huge backyard...however, he didn't want that. He wanted to keep as much attention off of his as possible...plus he said he wanted a "normal" eighteen year old experience.

His parents liked the fact that their son made his money, that he was able to support himself (even though they would've supported him no matter what) and he knew how much money he had, yet that didn't stop him from being modest and reasonable. Still, the two insisted on getting him an apartment that was on one of the main streets, feeling as if it would be better and much safer for him, but Louis didn't want that, he knew how much that would cost and it would defeat the whole purpose...he wanted to experience catching a metro or maybe riding on a scooter to get to his destination and when Louis wanted something, his parents knew that he was going to get it his way...they knew that nothing would stop him at that.

Louis took a deep breath, before he grabbed his suitcase handle, pulling it as he went towards the entrence. Here goes nothing!
...

"Okay...this doesn't seem so bad"

Louis said as he got to the fifth floor, so far the building seemed nice and clean on the inside, he even passed a few neighbors, mostly grandparents and some of their adorable cat. He was now looking around to see where his apartment was. Louis checked down on his phone, seeing the number "18". "The irony", he thought.

"You have to be shitting me!" Louis then saw his door, excitedly going towards it, ready to finally get in and fall asleep on his bed. He took the key from under his mat, unlocking the door...but it wouldn't budge...that's when Louis completely lost it. The boy kept trying to open the door, even kicking it out of anger a couple of times, but it wouldn't budge. This all together caused quite the scene, catching the attention of a neighbor who couldn't help but laugh.

"Stupid fucking door!"

"Hey there"

"Oh shit" Louis jumped up and away from the door realizing that somebody had seen this interaction between him and the door. There goes the last piece of his dignity. The person however just chuckled lightly, before carefully approaching Louis. The singer hadn't looked up from the door, honestly too scared to face the person. He could already see the titles in his head "Famous British teen, Louis Tomlinson got into a fight with HIS DOOR"

"So sorry to startle you...you just seemed to be kicking the crap out of that door-" The person now stood a bit behind Louis, observing the boy and the door. When Louis finally dared to look up and face the facts, he saw a very familiar brunette. The boy's smile now going wider.

"Hey...you're that kid from the airport"

"Okay this is really becoming an out of the movie plot" The brunette couldn't help but remember the comment he made the first time around, which was only an hour or two ago. This truly was small world.

"I guess so" Louis felt at ease to see that it was the all familiar stranger and not a poor cat lady, now being able to take a breath. He started to turn the sea blue eyed teen, scratching the back of his neck a bit.

"So what seems to be the problem?"The brunette asked causing Louis to jump up a bit, not expecting this to be the next question. He turned around and grabbed the door handle, demonstrating what seemed to be the problem as he spoke.

"My door won't open...I have the key and all...I've tried like fifty times, but it won't budge"

"Oh yeah...that happens a lot around here, the building is pretty old...and so are these locks"The brunette just hummed, he knew exactly what seemed to be the problem so there wasn't much surprises to his reaction. However Louis wasn't feeling it, just wanting to go in his apartment and sleep, now not even being able to do so.

"Oh-"

"We can call a landlord, but it will take some time before he gets here, he lives outside of Barcelona" The brunette suggests, knowing that this was their best and probably only option at the moment. After all it was a Saturday when Louis arrived to the apartments. Louis sighed, shaking his head, obvious frustration could be heard in his voice.

"Well what is my luck-"

"Hey, don't stress about it, you can come and chill at my place" The brunette flashed him a smile, hoping that this offer would calm down the dirty blonde a bit. It both caught them by surprise, seeming this was only the second time the two have spoken, but the brunette had a good feeling about Louis. Louis however had a harder time accepting that offer, he kept shaking his head, trying to convince the teen that he really doesn't have to do so.

"Oh no, I couldn't do that to you, I'll just go out, get some coffee maybe...forgot to get some while at the airport"

"Nonsense, you seemed to be pretty out of it, I'm sure you've had a long day...so come stay at my place, you can rest, I'll make you some coffee...I am sure Liam won't mind"

The brunette noticed how tired Louis was...and how out of it he was when he started kicking the crap out of the said apartment "18" door. He was very persistent to say the least, practically not letting Louis say no. He wasn't shoving it or pushing him to make a decision, but he most certainly wouldn't let him stay out in the streets because of a stupid lock. A smile never left his face.

Louis looked between the brunette and his apartment door, thinking about it all...however, he was really tired and it would be nice to sit down...also this stranger seemed nice, not like he was going to kill him in his sleep. He checked between his options...realizing that he should just say yes. I mean what's the worst that could happen.

"Wow...that is very...sweet of you, why are you being so nice to me?"

"I guess I just want to be a good neighbour...plus there aren't many kids our age around here and you seem like you could use some company"

The brunette shrugs, not giving it much thought. He found it to be the right thing to do. His parents always taught him to help out those in need and right now, that seemed to be Louis. He also was a very friendly person to begin with, always ready to make new friends...so why not be with a neighbor that was around his age?

"Thank you...that is very thoughtful of you" Louis said as he smiled at the boy, the way he said it, implied that he wanted to finally get the brunettes name. Him, catching on, as he gave out a hand to shake.

"It's Nathaniel...but feel free to call me Niall, it doesn't seem so snobby and stuck up"

"Well okay Niall, my name is Louis" Louis gladly accepted the hand, not being able to hold in his laughter. He seemed to like Niall and he wondered how did he get so lucky to meet all of these cool people...well most of them...in these last two days. Were all people in Barcelona like him...or possibly Richie?

"Well Louis...would you like to come along...my apartment is down there, 23" As Niall let go off Louis' hand, smile however still on, he turned a bit round, causing Louis to follow. Niall now pointing at the apartment door, couple of doors away from his.

"Well Niall...lets go" Louis chuckled lightly, Niall agreeing with the boy, before having to add"That is a lot of well's"

The two couldn't contain their laughter, Niall taking a few steps forward while Louis followed behind and into the apartment 23.

"It sure as hell is...so just come"
...
"Honey, I'm home" Niall jokingly called out as he entered their apartment, Louis following behind, carefully observing his surroundings.

The apartment was much bigger than he had expected it to be. The kitchen, that was on the right of the entrance door, was also connected to the living room that was straight ahead from them and dinning room, on the left. The whole place was very spacious with a lot of light coming in from the windows in the living room, there even being a terrace door. Near the living room seemed to be a hallway that led to four separate doors, Louis assuming those were the bedrooms and a bathroom. Place itself had this teenage vibe, with all sorts of photos, posters, polaroids and more covering the walls. Louis really liked their place and hoped that he could also decorate it like them.

*You leave in a month, there's no use in that, you are not planning on staying here forever* his inner voice spoke, causing him so sigh as he looked back at the ground.

"So you have a roommate?" Louis broke his train of thoughts and inner opinions, turning to Niall, who was now closing the front door before focusing on Louis.

"Yeah, Liam, he's probably still in the shower...I would say he'll be soon out, but my mum taught me not to lie"

"No, I was in the bedroom...fucking your mu-...holy shit" And just like that, like on cue, wrapped in a towel around his waist walked in a brunette that Louis assumed to be Liam. He strode in so confidently, poking at Niall until his eyes landed on Louis, him stopping in his pace and freezing.

"Very mature Liam...wait, why do you look like you've seen a ghost...or that Louis Tomlinson kid you can't stop talking about?" Niall observed his best friend and roommate, noticing the sudden lack of energy from Liam, seeing as he had just...stopped.

"Um...hi?" Louis stood there a bit awkwardly, greeting the boy, now realizing that Liam knew exactly who he was.

"Nathanial I swear to god, shut the fuck up right now-" Liam broke out of his trance, jumping up a bit, his hand now tightly around his towel as he started shouting at Niall. Louis not being able to hold in his chuckles, he found this whole scene quite funny.

"What?" Niall asked, looking between Louis and Liam, more confused then ever. That was the moment when Louis realised that Niall had no absolute clue that he was the named Louis Tomlinson and honestly, it felt great. This huge stress and responsibility that came with his name felt not so big at this point. It felt so freeing.

"That...that there is...that Louis Tomlinson kid" Liam was finally able to mutter out, pointing at Louis who just stood there, waving awkwardly while Niall looked between Liam and back at Louis, shaking his head.

"Wait what?!"

"You have to be shitting me...you ran into Louis Tomlinson...like THE Louis Tomlinson, TWO times and had no idea...you are an absolute moron, like completely...I cannot believe you...I cannot believe I am standing just in my towel-"

Liam went on what seemed to be a profound rant, honestly not understanding how his best friend was so oblivious, while Niall and Louis exchanged a look. Niall still confused with all that was happening while Louis couldn't help, but enjoy himself. At the last part, Liam looked down at his towel, gripping it a bit harder while his cheeks turned a whole new shade of pink.

"I...I had no clue...I've heard a couple of songs...I am sorry..."

Niall once Liam finished couldn't help but feel a bit guilty, but than again, how could've he possibly known...it's not like Isla or Liam showed him any photos ( They did, but he would usually zone out when said thing happened). Louis waved his hand in a casual way, shaking his head lightly. The words were a hard truth, being something he really felt, but the way he said it, so casually and carelessly didn't make Liam or Niall blink twice.

"No worries, really, it was way more fun being a "normal" teen for an hour than Louis Tomlinson for the last three years-"

"Hi...I am so sorry about him, thought Isla and I educated him better...guess I was wrong...anyways, I'm Liam...but please, I'd prefer If you call me...Liam...or the love of your life...whatever is more natural" Liam pushed pass Niall, who let out a "Hey!", causing Louis to burst into laughter. Liam smiled at the boy so confidently, a tad bit of flirty-ness could be seen in it. Louis admired him carefully as he spoke, seeing as if Liam had this certain charm within him, this confidence that just pulled you in.

"Haha...I like you Liam"

"I like you too Louis" Liam's smile went even wider (if that was even possible) at the sound of Louis' words. His cheeks couldn't help but turn an even more intense shade of pink. Niall noticing and poking at it, while Liam gave him the middle finger. Louis' laughter just filling the room.

"Well now I feel stupid"

Niall changed the topic, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck while Louis just gave him one of his million dollar smiles or that's what Harry would call them.

He loved hearing Harry's voice when he smiled, it made him even more confident, wanting to smile as much as possible.

Louis carefully thought how he was going to phrase this, sure, he seemed to be fond of Liam and Niall, but that didn't mean he could let his guard down so easily.

"Trust me Niall, I don't hold a grudge against you...I've actually been trying to avoid the spotlight for a bit"

"Trust me Niall, I do hold a grudge against you"

Liam teased the sea blue eyed teen, who rolled his eyes, now him being the one to show the middle finger. Liam shook his head, not even focusing on his best friend, but instead turning to Louis, flashing him this smile as he batted his lashes "just so innocently". Niall shook his head at that, also turning to Louis as Liam went on to speak.

"Well you've come to the right place than...nobody visits here really, except cat ladies when they have their weekly meeting...other than that, a dead zone"

"Well that's perfect than" Upon hearing those words the newcomer couldn't help but smile, he felt this huge weight get off his shoulder, much thankful that he chose this apartment...even if his lock was still jammed.

He was however taken out of his thoughts by a very much curious Liam and one of his many great questions. Louis always appreciate curiosity, he, himself be a very curious person...but when it came to stuff like this, he liked to keep certain parts quiet...a mystery I suppose.

"So...I have to ask, what brings Louis Tomlinson to our humble parts of Barcelona...not that I am complaining, of course"

"Of course" Niall mocked Liam as he stood behind Louis' back, Liam just rolling his eyes, his focus never leaving the British that stood in-front of him.

"A vacation from...everything, I suppose"

Simple, yet could satisfy the curiosity of many, which seemed to work for Liam as he just hummed, nodding his head...that or maybe the part when Niall cut him off, explaining a bit better.

"He is our new neighbour...his apartment door is stuck"

"Typical...wait-"Liam huffed at the thought of those stupid door locks when he had heard the sentence all over again, jumping up a bit in excitement. Louis looked over at Niall who just shrugged, not really knowing what to tell him.

"Holy shit...Louis Tomlinson is our new neighbour...please hold me, I think I'm going to faint"

"Please just call me Louis...all of this feels to formal" Louis gave out his hand to shake, Liam looking down at it and back at Louis, seeing as if the singer had this very friendly smile, him accepting the hand. However, a grin spread across his face as they shook hands.

"Okay Louis boy"

"Or I guess that...you are really bold Liam" Louis laughed, genuinely and so...warm, his laughter like a certain music to Liam. Liam couldn't help, but go on with the playful teasing, poking Louis on the shoulder.

"One of my many gifts, one being suck-"

"Okay, okay...chill dude, no need to scare our guest away" Niall had to step in, shaking his head at the roommates sudden idea. Liam not being able to contain a laugh before he pointed Louis.

"Relax Ni, Louis love over here has a boyfriend"

"Haha" Louis just stood there, not knowing how to reply to that. Truth be told, Louis and Harry's break was recent and they tried to keep all of it out of the public eye as much as possible...especially with Louis' sudden "move" to Barcelona, both wanting to avoid speculations and possible cheating rumors. So obviously Louis wasn't planning on telling his whole life story to two strangers he had met like an hour ago, just having to go along.

"Oh yeah...they did mention that...Harry....Harry Style?" Niall turned to Louis, by the look on the brunette's face, he was trying really hard to remember Harry's name. Louis smiling at how adorable Niall and him not having clue about "celebrities".

"Styles...Harry Styles...I am so sorry, he truly is uneducated...please apologize to Harry in his name" Liam of course was the opposite of Niall, shaking his head when he heard those words leave his mouth. He sighed, before he looked back at Louis who just smiled, he swallowed a huge lump in his throat, trying to hold the same energy he had before they had mentioned Harry. His reply seemed to be very tiring and...dry.

"Relax...I am not going to tell on him...If necessary I will send the apology-"

"Hey...are you okay?" Niall seemed to catch on, giving a look of worry to Louis who took a deep breath, thinking of a best response, when he realized something...he could be honest, well half honest. Louis flashed him a sheepish smile.

"Yeah, yeah, just tired a bit...that's all...long day"

"Well, come and sit down...or do you want to sleep, cause we do have a spare bedroom" Liam nodded, trying to suggest something that seemed to suit Louis the best, even ready to take him to the living room while Louis refused, really not wanting to be a burden to them, especially when they were treating him so nicely.

"No, no..."

"Please, you are a guest here and we just want to make your stay comfortable...you seemed to be really out of it today" Niall chimed in, trying to show Louis that it was completely fine to just lay down and sleep, especially with the long day that Louis had already had.

He, however, was still unsure, looking between two teens and the door to the bedrooms. The blue eyed boy turn back around, caving in, because in all honesty, sleep sounded great right now...and it also meant no more questions for Louis.

"I...actually the spare bedroom sounds great"

"Okay...well Liam can show you the way"Niall smiled happily as Louis had finally agreed to the idea, him now signalizing to Liam to show their new guest where the guest bedroom was, which the curly haired gladly accepted, smirking at Niall.

"Hell yeah I can-"

"Liam!" Niall shouted out, as if he was telling him it was not the place or time for these statements...which to be fair wasn't, but Liam completely ignored him, going off to the bedroom with Louis.

"Follow me Louis lovely"
...
"Where is it?!" A frustrated girl sighed as she went through the room, from the reaction it seemed as if she was looking for this for quite some time. She shook her head as she realized that it wasn't even in the guest room closet. Louis who was sleeping in that room didn't seem to notice it nor be much bothered by it, as he slept very peacefully...that is until a wind blew through the window and into the guest room, causing one of the open closet doors to slam, all making him jump up awake.

"Ahhh"

"Oh my...I am so sorry, I just came in to get Niall's t-shirt...didn't mean to startle you"

The girl jumped up a bit, turning around to see the awoken teen, feeling very much guilty for waking him up. Especially after Liam's strict orders. He seemed to have needed that sleep, since it had been at least four hours since he fell alseep and he seemed soak in as much of the dreams as possible. However, what was done was done, Louis was now awoken, still trying to piece what was going on.

"Oh...yeah...no worries"

"Hey, aren't you Louis Tomlinson?" The raven haired tilted her head, observing the boy a bit. Louis was still dizzy from being woken up so suddenly that he didn't know how to properly respond, so he just nodded his head, questioning himself a bit...I mean, he was Louis Tomlinson...but at that point he wasn't so sure.

"Yeah?"

As he spoke these words, he feared a bit the raven haired girl's reaction. She was silent for a second, her mouth forming an "oh" shape, before she casually brushed it off, continuing on as if her and Louis have known each other forever.

Louis was surprised to say the least, out of all possible outcomes, he didn't see this one. This made him even more intrigued about the mysterious raven haired girl that walked into the room, she didn't blink twice when her question came out positive, she treated him like how she would treat anybody else and that's all Louis could've wished for, especially after waken up from his hibernation.

"Well cool...do you want to watch a movie with us?" The girl casually asked, observing the boy a bit, just trying to catch his reaction to the idea. Louis was about to speak up, but ended up cut off by the girl.

"Um-"

"It's Game plan...Niall claims to be "The best movie ever"...it's not the 5SOS movie though, so is it really the best movie ever?" The raven haired girl shrugged it off, not really giving it much thought, while all Louis could do was think. He was genuinely surprised with how the girl treated him, he felt like he was her friend for ages and not some random guy that she woke up couple of minutes ago. He couldn't help, but smile a bit, trying to continue on with the conversation.

"That is a good movie-"

"Right!" The girl exclaimed, excited to see that the British singer shared her opinion of movies. Louis couldn't help, but chuckle at that, the girl continuing on the conversation.

"Who is your favourite 5SOS member?"

"Um...Michael?" Louis said, questioning a bit his answer. He was still trying to get out of the daze from the long nap, but also he thought about it. Out of all of the boys, he personally knew Michael and the two just seemed to click, he even saw Michael as a brother, but of course he isn't going to mention that to a random stranger.

"Nice, I'm more of a Calum girl...but like Muke man" The raven haired girl nodded her head, happy with the response she got from Louis, but also happy that he actually went along with it.

"Um...Did the landlord come?"As much fun as Louis was currently having, he started to remember the real reason why he came here in the first place and that was the stupid lock at apartment 18. He looked up at the girl, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck.

"Oh yeah...like three hours ago...he fixed the lock...didn't know that was your apartment" The girl simply replied, turning her head a bit towards the clock that was in the room, Louis following her gaze noticing now that it was now nine pm. He than gave her a light smile, placing his hand back on the bed.

"Yeah...I just got here"

"Well that's great, I'm sure you are going to love it here" The girl smiled brightly, he couldn't help, but feel a bit reassured with those words. She had a certain effect to her and Louis just couldn't piece what was it.

"Anyways Liam told me not to wake you up, he said you needed beauty sleep...something about becoming a pop star, on stage, all these parties...honestly I couldn't even repeat if I tried" The raven beauty started to laugh a bit, causing Louis to crack a smile, her laughter was contagious and something he could listen to for a long time...wait, what?!

"Yeah...well thank you..."Louis coughed, giving her a bit of an awkward smile...by the way he looked at her, you could see that he wanted to hear her name, as both realize that they didn't have a proper introduction. The girl nodded her head, chuckling lightly as she gave out her hand to Louis to shake.

"Oh shit, right, I didn't introduce myself...the name is Isla"

"Also, no problem...so the movie...Liam also called the spot next to you" The beauty of the girl now know as Isla spoke, pointing at the door where you could further away see Niall walking towards the couch with a bowl of popcorn while Liam followed behind, going off about something to the boy. The two in the room couldn't help bit smile at the sight.

"Haha of course he did...I mean...sure, why not, what do I have to lose?"

Louis just blurted it out, laughing lightly. At this point, he wasn't sure where this came from nor why he wanted to stay longer here when he could go back to his apartment and settle in...but there was just something about this group of teens, that lured him in, wanting to stay as long as possible with them. Plus he was only here for a few months, so what did he really have to lose if he stayed and watched the movie?

"That's the spirit!"Isla said as she "sarcastically" threw her fist in the air, walking out of the room, causing Louis to just observe her for a bit, once again letting out a laughter.

Afterwards he got off the bed, following behind.
...
"And that's how Isla and Liam got into a prank war" Niall spoke, not able to contain his laughter, three teens next to him felt the same, the whole room behind filled with laughter and a scent that could be connected to the butter from the bowl of popcorn. Niall was sitting in a sofa, remote next to him. Isla was spread on the couch and in front of her sat Louis and Liam who thought that it would be a good idea to sit on the floor. The movie had finished long ago, all really enjoying it(Louis and Liam even shed a few tears), but now, they all seemed to be lost in some sort of a conversation, secretly not wanting for the night to end.

"That was a rough year" Liam sighed, shaking his head at the memory of the prank war with Isla, the raven haired girl however rolled her eyes, huffing.

"You are just saying that because I won"

"Woma please-"Liam was about to jump out of his seat, ready to defend his honor, Isla following in the moment when they got cut off by the door bell ringing. All exchanged a look, before Niall decided to get up and check to see who it really was. The three tired to continue a conversation, but have noticed that Niall was taking awfully long to join them (Okay like two minutes, but still).

"Who's at the door?"Louis couldn't help but ask, seeing as Isla and Liam kind of figured out who could it be, Liam even rolled his eyes before he mumbled while Isla chuckled, playfully hitting him across the arm, however, she wasn't happy either.

"Let me guess-"

"Hey...thank you again for today"The raven haired boy walked into the apartment as Niall moved out of the frame, closing the door and following behind. Niall smiled at that, not giving it much thought, he helped a friend out, it was the most natural thing to do, so Niall didn't see the need in talking about it much.

"No problem Zee"

"Also, is Isla coming down any time soon, dads wanna talk to her"

Zayn was now turned to the living room, his attention focusing on Isla, a bit annoyed that it was taking so long for the girl to reply to him. This was the first time the three teens could see the boy that was at the front door and that was the same time Louis' face went pale, his mouth forming an "o" shape...it couldn't be, could it?

"Hi Zayn"

Liam greeted, smiling lightly, but you couldn't help but feel as if it was a bit forced. Louis looked at Liam, trying to give him some sort of a reassuring smile. A part of him hoping that this Zayn wasn't him or that the boy had at least-.

However Louis' thought train was cut short, seeing as Zayn had now noticed him. The newbie could hear the teasing in the voice, he didn't even have to look up to see the look he had across his face. He hated it, he hated him so much.

"Liam...oh...and who do we have here?"

"That's Louis...you leave the poor soul alone...he just got here and there is no need for you to chase him away" Isla chimed in and Louis couldn't help but feel like this weight was lifted off of his shoulders or so he thought, since Zayn didn't seem to be giving up with this game.

"Ouch...I was just trying to make new friend, all though I think Louis-" Zayn smirked, leaning towards Louis a bit.

Louis was the only one to notice that stupid smirk, feeling his stomach twist at that. He hated the affect this teen had on him and he hated that Zayn knew that...if only things went differently that day.

"Should be headed back...I also have to call somebody" Louis jumped off the floor, getting ready to grab at the chance of leaving and avoiding to have this conversation here and there. He smiled at the teens, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck, he could tell that they had no idea what was going on and he was pleased with it. Zayn just stood there, smirking to himself.

"Oh...of course, well, see you around Louis" Niall nodded, realizing that in fact, Louis was right and it was best if they let him go and finally settle into his place. It was almost two in the morning and they all needed rest, especially with the fact that Isla and him had to go into work tomorrow morning.

"Yeah...thank you for today guys, I honestly can't thank you enough, if there is any way that I could repay you or do so-" Louis looked around the room, his eyes filled with so much joy. For the first time since he got here, he could say that he actually and genuinely felt happy, at peace if we may say so and it. That also scared him, knowing that there was always going to be that voice inside of his head telling him "Don't get attached, you are going to end up leaving them anyways"

"That's nonsense ...there is really no need for anything, we were just being good neighbours" Niall said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. He once again flashed him a smile that Louis thought had to be his signature smile or something. Louis really liked that about Niall, how much faith and hope he had in this world, how he saw what he did as a most natural thing and not something many would avoid to do and refuse to help.

"Yeah...but you could always come to Zayn's gig with us" Liam added and just when Louis thought he got away with it and out the door, Liam had to add this. The British turned around only to be met with Zayn's signature smirked, the smirked that was directed at Louis and he felt as if he was the only one that could see it. The boy hummed, turning to Liam, a very cheeky smile on his face.

"That isn't actually a bad idea, Lee"

"I don't know-" Louis was about to muster when he saw Zayn, he was now focused on Louis, shaking his head a bit, as if he were to say "Wrong choice". He than grinned, having a little pout at the end, he knew exactly what he was doing and Louis realized it.

"Scared that my music is better than yours, Lou-"

"Uhm...I'll talk to you about the details tomorrow, good night guys" Louis cut him off before Zayn could say something else, he didn't feel this was the right time or place to resolve...the situation, so he decided to stop it. He was tired and wanted to go home, possibly call somebody important to him. So he turned back to the door, grabbing the handle.

"Good night Louis"Isla flashed him a smile, Louis nodded his head, saying a simple "Good night" to her, as well as Liam who happily smiled at the boy, waving a bit excitedly.

"Bye Louis angel"

"Sweet dreams babe" Zayn spoke so softly, teasing the boy a bit, a certain flirtiness to it and if Louis hadn't know Zayn, he would've fallen for this act. He just nodded his head, barely acknowledging the boy nor wanting to return the good night.

With that, Louis took his suitcase that was next to the door and was out the apartment in no time. Once he walked over to door marked with number 18 and finally managed to open the door, entering the place, he collapsed, crying into his hands.

"Stop being such a jerk Zayn...lets just go downstairs...I want to talk to papa and daddio"Isla who was now at Niall and Liam's apartment door, also ready to leave like Louis said as she playfully hit Zayn across the chest.

She just wanted to leave her twin brother and call their parents, which became impossible since Zayn was dragging it upstairs. Isla did find it a bit strange to say the least, since Zayn never liked to stay at the boys' apartment longer than needed, he didn't like to mix with "Isla's little friends", usually rushing to meet his bandmates or soccer friends.

"Just say dads-" Zayn huffed, turning to focus on the girl, who was now out the door, turning around and grabbing the edge of the door frame, smirking.

"Never"
...
"Hey where have you been this entire day...you promised you'd call"Harry spoke the same moment he pressed answer to a FaceTime call with Louis, smiling lightly at the blue eyed teen.

At this point, it was three am and Louis felt guilty to wake up Harry, but he knew that the boy would never hold it against him, since this was something they always did when they were dating. "But now things are different Louis, you aren't dating" a little voice in his head spoke, Louis trying his hardest to ignore it. He wanted to focus on Harry and Harry only.

"I am so sorry...today's been so crazy...I was locked out of my apartment and then I got to hangout with some teens in the building...and I just lost track of time...I'm sorry"

Louis spoke about his day and Harry could see different type of emotions across Louis' face, followed by some funny reactions as he went into the story of his day.

He could also see how his eyes started to glow when he mentioned the teens in the building. Harry smiled at that, but couldn't help feel a bit sick to the stomach, however he would never mention it to Louis.

"Don't stress it Lou, I'm happy to hear that you are making new friends"

"They are not friends...more like friendly acquaintance...yeah, friendly acquaintances"

Louis couldn't help but go pale at the mention of the words friends, sure, Louis liked the teens, they seemed nice and friendly, but would he go out of the way to call them his friends? I mean, he had just met them, nice and friendly weren't enough to make somebody your friend. Adding the whole Zayn situation on top wasn't helping at all.

So, Louis couldn't help, but go into this defensive mode, shutting off and Harry noticed that, hating when Louis did that, especially when he knew he couldn't do anything as he was across the ocean, so he just changed the topic, giving the caramel-brunette a reassuring smile.

"Sure Lou...whatever you say...just make sure to call your parents tomorrow, I got at least ten calls from them asking me if I knew anything about you and your whereabouts"

"I am so sorry H, I'll call them tomorrow, first thing in the morning"

Louis' eyes widened, he knew that he had forgotten to do something today and now that Harry reminded him of it, he couldn't help, but feel guilty. He knew that his parents didn't want to smatter him right when he got there, giving him a bit of space, but still checking with Harry because they thought that he would know, since he was Louis' "boyfriend". Louis felt even more guilty because he had lied to them and he had to put Harry through it, even though his ex wouldn't say anything about it, because that's how Harry was...he was so kind, caring and understanding, especially towards Louis. And like said, Harry just smiled, shaking his head.

"Don't stress it, I love your parents and they just worry about you, they want what's best for you, we all do"

"I know, I know...and appreciate all you do for me, but I never want to be a burden to you"Louis honestly spoke, a shy smile across his face, not daring to look into Harry's eyes as he spoke those words. He loved Harry, of course he did, they were together for three years, those feelings don't just go away. So he hated that this was how he acted around Harru, so shy and to be honest, scared, scared that one word he said could tip over the glass and break it.

"Louis, love, you could never be a burden to us and it breaks my heart to hear you say this...I lo...I care about you so much"

"Thank you Harry...I care about you too, like a lot" Louis couldn't help but smile at that, he knew that Harry still loved and cared for him and that was all he needed at this point. He turned around, positioning himself on the pillow, his attention still on the phone in front of him, those words just slipped out.

"I miss you Harry"

"I miss you too Louis...but...I...I should get going"

Harry's face suddenly went pale, he knew where this conversation was heading and he dreaded it. He knew that this wasn't natural, the two had just broken up, yet talked everyday as if nothing had happened and that wasn't good, if anything, it would make it harder for them to move on...however the question was, did they really want to move on?

"No stay...I want to...I need to listen to your voice...please"

"I love you Harry"

"I...good night Louis...I love you too"

chapter four, draft!
black is louis, regular is harry!

"Oh shit, oh shit"

"Louis, please calm down and breathe, everything is going to be okay"

"How can you say that...HOW?!"

"I...I'm sorry...it's just, you know how much I needed to get away from it all, how I needed this one bit of space and now that may get taken away because of a stupid comment on a post"

"You know that your grandma loves you, she was so happy to see this post, she didn't do it on purpose"

"I know, I know and I am not mad at her nor I blame her, I was the one who didn't explain it to her before I left...I am just, scared...of everything"

"I get that Louis, but you've done what you could've...you've disabled the comments and I am sure that not many people have seen it anyways"

"It takes one person to see and screenshot it before all of this to blow up all over social media...I can already see it, #wheredidlouisgo?"

"You know what, just take a deep breath, let me handle this, you've been already as stressed as it is, I'll-"

"I can't ask you to do that for me"

"You aren't asking, I am doing it for you because I care about you and want what's best for you"

"What are you going to do?"

"Do you trust me Louis?"

"I trust you with my whole life"

"Than you are going to let me handle this, my way, no need for you to stress over something that can easily be solved...especially when you are supposed to be on a break from it all...just, try to stay on the low for the next few days, this will all blow over before you know it"

"Thank you Harry, thank you so much, I truly don't know what I would do without you, I lov-"

"Hey, what are supportive ex-boyfriends for"

"Right...Harry, I-"

"Louis, you know that now is not the best time for that... let me remind you that on social media you are back home, but in reality you are in Barcelona...miles away"

"Harry-"

"Please, we will talk about this later, right now my focus is getting attention off of you and that comment"

"Do you not love me anymore?"

"How could you ask that Louis...after everything we've been through, after everything we are still going through, after I poured my heart out to you before you left, MY love for you shouldn't be the one doubted"

"So what, I should be doubting my love for you?"

"You know what I've meant Louis"

"No, no I don't, but after this, I think you've got the message across"

"Ughh...just for this once, stop thinking with your dick and use your brain...I love you Louis, I love you so much that it hurts sometimes, you are my first great love, I've given my whole heart and self to you the day you told me that you loved me...but we aren't together anymore and I don't know what the future holds for not just us, but everything else, so please forgive me for trying to find some sort of closure and make a change...I can't keep living in this loop forever, I can't not act like we are together and like everything is holly jolly, it isn't...it hasn't been like that in a while Louis"

"Harry, please-"

"Save it Louis...I have to go, they are calling me on set"
