This is taking place during the pretty Cure splash Star 3D movie so if you haven't seen it I suggest watching that movie otherwise something in this story might not make sense because this is highly based on that movie with my personal touches of course
Saki Pov
Me and my best friend Mai we're playing around with our fairies we were all having fun and just doing what we normally do around the sky tree that was until we saw a seed fall from the sky and land right on top of flappy
"What the heck is that" Mai pointed out
She noticed that the sea has sprouted into a little sapling on top of my fairy partners head it was so interesting she decided to draw it
"Don't just stand there and draw this thing get this off me lapi" he said well more like yelled with that annoying vocal tick
I just stood there trying my best not to laugh until I finally managed to say
"well you are the spirit of the flowers this makes sense... right?" Well try my best not to burst out and laughter again
But before any of us could try and figure out what was going on we hear goyon saying something about the seed of Hope and the seed of despair next thing we know we get attacked by some kind of weird monsters
"Saki, Mai transform chopi" choppy yelled out to us we looked at each other and transformed
"Dual spiritual power"
"Flowers, grow on the Earth"
"Wings, flap to the skies"
"The Shining Golden flower, Cure Bloom"
"The sparkling silver wing, Cure Egret"
"We are Pretty Cure"
"Those who desecrate the holy fountains..."
"Stop your cruel behavior"
We call out our transformation
Afterward, we start fighting those monsters with the power of the spirits but there seems to be absolutely no end to them, and just as we were about to get away a giant seed of despair cut us off our path and ate us.
I woke up inside the beast alongside my friend the last thing I remember was getting captured by this thing
"Egret are you okay," I asked my partner and she slowly starts to wake up
"Yeah I'm okay Bloom," she says reassuringly
"Bloom do you know where we are," she asks in confusion
But before I could answer that we get spit out by that monster and start falling into a ravine then, unfortunately, you pass out yet again
Egret Pov
I wake up again to see that I'm tied up to something. My arms, body, and legs being restrained to some kind of wall. I couldn't move, and my powers didn't help either, instead, the more I used them, the weaker my body got. I was going to give up that was until I saw my partner
"Bloom! Bloom can you hear me" I call out only to get no response
"Save your breath she got hit pretty hard she won't be waking up for a while" I hear a voice but it didn't sound like any of the villains I knew
I look up to where this voice is coming from only to see something horrifying a dark image of me her clothes were black and dark purple her hair was the same if not longer than mine and she had some purple lipstick on
"I got to admit your partner is rather lovely and fortunately she's not like you," the dark image of me said while smiling staring at bloom
"What do you mean, and who are you" I call out trying to divert her attention to me
"If you must know I am you, or at least the you you'll become when you fall into despair. You can call me... dark egret" she said well her dark eyes gleamed in the light
"And second of all I mean unlike you little Miss Bloom over here hasn't fallen into despair but you will eventually"
*How does she know this they can't be right I can't fall into despair, otherwise I leave Bloom behind*
"How do I know this you're asking yourself simple, I'm here aren't I, meaning you'll fall into despair very soon," she said mocking me
As much as I didn't want to believe her she's right, but I chose to deny it
Next thing I know I'm starting to fall into a dark pit the more full the more I lose my sight of bloom and she's following me I can feel her hands on me from behind.
She slowly starts to wrap her arms around me I couldn't move because the restraints were still there she held on to my waist with one hand and brought my ear down with her other while whispering one thing that shattered my heart
"It's better if you just give up now, after all, your little Hugga Saki... will never love you! But that's to be expected, she's in love with your brother so might as well just give up on her"
I tried my best to not listen to her but those words she said just rang in my ear and making me start to scream hoping to get Bloom's attention, but unfortunately, she didn't open her eyes... didn't even flinch
*She'll never love you!... She'll never love you!... She'll never love you!... She'll never love me!* Those words rang in my head eventually one word changed the word I eventually said aloud
"She'll never love me," I said with my heart shattering and my eyes willing up with tears flowing down my cheeks
"Of course you'll never love you... like that, but I can help you with that. Just give in to me, and I will make sure she'll love you... she'll love us"
That was the last thing I heard dark egrets say, before I start to close my eyes, my vision getting blurry, and finally whispering what I truly felt.
"Bloom... no... Saki, I love you, and I hope one day... you'll be my girlfriend"
Bloom Pov
My eyes finally opened, my vision was kind of blurry, but once it cleared I heard something next to me struggling. I looked down to see a dark pit, I tried to move only to see the restraints on my hands and legs. I look over to my right to see my partner Egret, trying to get out of her restraints but no luck.
"Don't worry Egret I'm going to get us out of here I promise" I say as I try to use my power only to then get weaker each time I tried
I started to hear a voice that sounded like goyon, saying how our Hope was meaningless, tiny, and useless in the face of the seed of despair.
"That doesn't matter I don't care if our hope is tiny or not, we enjoy what we have. No matter what we will defeat you guys!" A yelled out hoping that Egret would agree with me but instead, she just looked down at the pit and didn't say a word
I look over at my fairy friends and they're knocked out. I didn't know what I was going to do, but I knew I couldn't lose hope, and once I knew that my heart started to Glow a soft shade of yellow
"Don't" I hear someone say to me
"Just don't try there's no point" I look over and see that it's Egret who's saying this
"What are you saying, this is not the time to lose hope, we're going to make it out I know we will," I say with a smile on my face but still she continues to doubt me
"What's the point. All hope is lost, everyone in our world will fall into despair, and be slaves to the dark fall" Egret says but it doesn't sound like she's sad about it, it sounded more like she was encouraging it
"But the faster you fall into despair... the faster we don't have to suffer, we could be together... as dark Pretty Cures," she says as she looks up at me
I finally get a look at her eyes, they weren't the same bright purple as they usually were, instead, they were a dark purple and her smile looked not happy... but eviler.
Then something unexpected happened, she got out of her restraints with no problem, but I was still stuck to the wall... then what I saw next shook me to my very core... Egret had transformed into something, not herself
"What's going on, who are you, and what have you done to my Egret"
I see something flowing out of egrets body, it looked like some kind of shadow
"This IS your little friend, though just under the influence of despair. She gave in to her despair, and now she's much better no longer a pretty Cure... but a Despair cure"
After that, she returned to the Egret side. Egret then walked up to me and put her hands on my shoulders
"Join me. We could be together like this, we don't need the land of greenery, this is much better I know it is!" she said with a hopeful smile, but it's not the same smile I know
"No way I'll never join you. You've fallen into despair, well I'll bring you back to hope, I'll bring you back to me!" I yelled. After that I finally broke out of my restraints, and jumped out of that cave, leaving Egret down there at the hands of despair but she didn't follow me. All she did let's say one last thing.
"Before I fell into despair I was in love with you, and even after I fell I still am in love with you"
I jumped out only to then see the choppy was up at the cliffside, apparently thrown there, after Egret transformed. I detransformed back to my normal self trying to figure out how to bring my partner back.
*No matter what happens I will bring her back*
'And no matter what happens I'll bring you to my side Saki'
I heard the whisper in the wind her voice say to me but I didn't lose hope, otherwise, I'd be in the same situation as her, but on the inside, my heart shattered. I didn't know what I was going to do but I had to keep going... if I was going to save her.
And then once again the glow in my heart reappeared still the same soft yellow and that gave me hope. Hope that one day I will save her.
I might move this one-shot over to a Pretty Cure specific one, but for now, it's going to be here I have no clue yet
