It's now one and we are resting after our Christmas lunch.
"I don't think I could be any more full" I groan
"Me too, I think I might pass out" Leo says
"I told you not to eat that last Yorkshire pudding" Emma says
"Shut up, I have no regrets" Leo says and Lizzie giggles
I got given a chocolate bar. A chocolate far as my Christmas present from Leo.
I got some clothes from Emma, jewellery from grandma, a new computer from mum and dad, then an slush puppy maker from Lizzie which I'm really happy with, I won't lie.
We finished lunch half an hour ago and I'm still hungry.
"I might go for a walk" i say
"I'll come with you, it's going to take me years to burn off this dinner. Might as well start now" Alex says and i smile
We walk into the hallway and he hands me my coat, "thank you"
We walk out of the house and i breath in the cold fresh air.
"It's not fair, if get the cold if it's snowing. But it's not" Alex says and i chuckle
"Welcome to England" i say
We walk around the house to the back garden and we start to walk uphill.
"Where exactly are we going?" He asks me
"Well, when I was younger I built a little... a little home for myself" i say
"What?" He asks confused
"It's like a little pod, my grandad actually helped me build it" i say with a sad smile and he take my hand
"I bet he's really proud of you" he says
"I hope he is" i say
"I have a question" he says
"Go on then" I say
"Ryan asked me to bring him back some strawberry laces from tesco, something about three for one" he says and i chuckle
"We'll bring some back for him" i say
"Good cause he attacked me, and threatened to hug me if I didn't bring any back and I'm not comfortable with that" he says and i laugh
They love each other really.
"What time is it?" I ask him
"Three" he says
"Mum and dad will be doing the speech now" i say
"Isn't it weird to think about how it will be you making that speech next year" he says
Yes.
With a husband.
I smile, "yeah it's going to be so weird"
"You okay?" He asks me
"Yeah why?" I ask
"You just went weird for a second" he says
"Oh I'm fine, I just zoned out for a few seconds" i say and he nods
We turn a corner and we see my little pod i built.
"Here!" I say smiling
"It's tiny" he says
"I built it when I was ten, give me a break" i say and he smiles
I put my hand on the pad and it opens up.
"Wait what did I just see?" He asks me
"It's so no one else can get in without me" i say
"That is so cool" he says and i chuckle pulling him inside
I look around at the familiar green room, a double bed in the middle and a massive whiteboard on the wall from where I used to write songs and a guitar in the corner.
"What's on the whiteboard?" He asks me
"I used to think I could write songs" i say with a chuckle
"That dream died when my cousin told me I was tone deaf" i say he laughs
He sits down on the bed and I look around.
"I used to spend all my time in here" i say
"I don't blame you this bed is really comfy" he says and i laugh
I sit down next to him, "so I've got your Christmas present"
"You didn't have to get me anything" I say
"I wanted to" he says and i smile
He hands me a long box wrapped neatly, "god your a good wrapper"
He laughs, "just open it"
I rip the paper off and open it to see a gorgeous silver necklace.
"I didn't really know what to get you, so I thought I'd get you a necklace. And I know it's not all your your fancy royal jewell-"
I hug him, " I love it thank you"
"It's alright" he says hugging me back and I pull away from him
"Will you help me put it on?" I ask and he nods
I hand him the necklace and I move my hair out of the way and I ignore the tingles I get when he grazes my neck slightly with his hands.
"Done" he says and i turn around
"How do I look" I ask before looking up at him
"Beautiful" he says and i blush looking away slightly
He brings his hand up to the side of my face and I look at him. He kisses me and grip the sides of his coat.
He pulls away from me, "will you be my girlfriend?"
I smile and bite my lip, "yes"
He kisses me and I wrap my arms around his neck and his arms move to my lower back and pulls me towards him.
Lily's necklace
