Arpeggios are my life.  One person always asks what is going on in a musician's brain.  To be honest, I don't know what they expect.  But, if you were to answer your question, I have the answer.

"One two three four..."

"One two three..."

"One and two and three and..."

"One and a two and a three and a..."

"One lolly two lolly three lolly four lolly..."

Not very interesting, honestly, but that's what goes on in our brains- even when we are not playing.  When we hear music we count without knowing.

I wrote a piece for my music box.  It's probably my last.  It's really only a series of arpeggios.  It's lovely, really.
