OBLIVION

Over and Over

How do some people do it
Just go out there and make it
I've been struggling for a long time
And half way through some thing happens.

Is it just me or fate has something on me
One day it's so good
Another day feels like hell
Smiles last only a few hours
Then sadness takes over the reigns.

If only we had control over our destinies
We would all soar high up
But not everything is for everyone
I hope someday I can understand
Why it happens the way it happens

But until then
What can we do but wait our turn
Surely we'll get there, one step at a time
The road seems pleasing until it rains
And now you're stuck

Are we there yet
How long will we ask
How long will we wait
So many questions, few to no answers

One way or the other
Nature is fair to us all
Someone is smiling
Tomorrow they may be crying
Whatever we're given

Give it your all
Till there's nothing more to give
Who knows when we'll catch our break
And when we do, we'll smile so bright
The sun will be jealous.
