He wants her to know that he cares about her,so he dose as in hopes that when her fit is over.
Dianna realized he didn't growl or screeches to get her to calm down.

Quackerjack will hug Rivka and never let go until he sees a smile on her face.
He tries to make her feel appreciated and he hopes that he hasn't upset her even more when he eventually lets her go.
Megavolt x Carina Gerbil:

He's the reason for the bad mood and everytime Carina tell him to leave her alone or go away.
He instead rejects her request and tells her that he won't leave until she forgive him.
Somehow....his stubbornness improves her mood.
