OPIA- This is the name given to the intense feeling of invasive arousal that one feels when engaging in mutual gaze—making direct eye contact with someone else.
Something they never thought they could feel. An unknown word for an unknown emotion that they, and everyone around them, can feel. This whole new world, based solely on eye contact. Welcome to OPIA. Eye contact is the way to go.

I'm not good at making eye contact with people. Yeah, it's normal for people to not want to make eye contact. Hear me out. It's disgusting. Something that I do not want to do or make at all in my life. I hate the thing, I hate how people look at me and I hope that they know how I feel about it. But they don't. They want me to make eye contact but I just, I just can't bring myself to make eye contact at all. How some people make eye contact and think of eye contact being sexual is beyond me.
Everyone else finds it weird that I don't make eye contact. When I was a kid, yeah I made eye contact, but now that I'm sixteen; I stopped making eye contact. It's been a few years since I looked someone in the eye. I'm having a hard time moving around in life and I just don't know how to function. Teachers get mad at me when I don't make eye contact. Parents get mad at me when I don't make eye contact. Friends get annoyed when I don't make eye contact. Everyone just seems to get eye contact. But I don't. I hate it. I hate this, I hate that, I hate how I am I hate how I look. I hate everything.
"Hey Dean!" Chase came galloping over to me. "Whatcha doing out here when everyone's inside?"
"There's too much eye contact in there Chase. I don't like eye contact. You know that. I needed to get out of there before someone makes eye contact with me. I just hate it." Chase nodded at my response. "Do I need to stay longer?"
"No, you can leave if this is making you uncomfortable. No one's forcing you to stay. You came here to "escape" your daughter, your daughter being a four week old kitten you got yesterday."
"You're right. I'll see you tomorrow."
