Today!

It was today!

You were going to head back to heaven, you can get back to your old life. Imagine the stories you could tell! You were the only angel to survive heaven, you met a prince. You met Lucifer! Everyone was going to be asking questions.

"Ready?" Fizzarolli sighed, both of you weren't that happy about today, you were going to miss the lovable jester, he was a good....friend...yeah, that's all you felt. You were going to miss preforming as well, he was amazing, but when you preformed together, it felt like the galaxy would collapse.

"I guess." You laughed, he wrapped the large blanket Lucifer had giving him over you, it was to cover you up so no demon would recognize you. Fizzarolli placed one hand on your wing, the other grabbed your hand, both red threads connected, everytime they did, you felt better about something.

"You have to trust me, I'm going to lead you to the car, that's it, it's not far."

"Alright."

You pressed your body against his, he rested his head on yours, leading you to the car. You had to admit, he was really warm...or maybe it was the blanket.

You almost tripped over a kid, but Fizzarolli quickly punted her, sending her slamming into the Ferris wheel. Fizzarolli snorted, holding back laugh.

"Come on! Come on!" Lucifer said, helping both of you into the black van, he glanced around, then hopped in himself, driving off.

"I hope you have a speech ready, because God does not take kindly to angels disappearing, trust me." He rolled his shoulders.

"I'm sure he'll understand, then he'll send Eve down here for sending me down here in the first place!" You snapped, part of your wings colored red in anger "But if I'm being honest, this is the most fun I had in a while."

Fizzarolli was staring at the window, watching the buildings zoom by in a blur, you gently smacked him with your wing.

"What are you thinking about?"

"Do you think...I could be allowed in heaven."

Lucifer burst out laughing, slamming his hands down on the steering wheel.

"I'm going to take that as a 'no.'" Fizzarolli sighed, clicking his fingers together.

"Redemption is non existent, my daughter is trying with that hotel of her's, but it's going about as well as you think, and I don't think Hellborn people can leave."

You grabbed his hand, and he squeezed it, you wrapped your wing around him, something you have been doing often, he relaxed under you, he always seemed so stressed.

Lucifer suddenly slammed on the breaks, hopping out of the van, Fizzarolli through the blanket over you, then you two followed him.

The moment you stepping into the castle, you almost slipped on the diamond checkered floor, you tossed the blanket off and took to the air quickly, Fizzarolli did fall, Lucifer almost did, but used his staff to gain his ground.

"Why is the floor so slippery?" You asked, Fizzarolli extended his arms to try to get up, but his arms just slipped, and he fell on the ground, you picked him up, hovering in the air.

"That's my question!" Lucifer snapped, turned to look at the closest guard.

"S-Sir the maid spilled the polish earlier, it's not my fault.

"Why isn't it mopped up?"

"I don't know."

Lucifer took a deep breath, glancing up at you, he pushed himself across the floor with his staff, you held Fizzarolli, flying to dry ground. Fizzarolli leaped down, and you landed on your feet, Lucifer brushed him self off, then continued to lead you around the castle.
