Mumbling and curses could be heard if you walked close to a mountain and then walked up that mountain to a certain shrine.
(Not that most people would find the certain shrine, considering that it was on a tall mountain and most humans were to cowardly to climb that mountain. So, humans would start to shiver in fear when they walked by.)
Kasai's palm lit up with blue fox fire before she shot the fire at the pile of wood in the middle of the room. The wood crackled and burned as she found herself getting farther lost in the dances of the flames―which by the way had turned a normal orange―as her eyes started to close and her mind wandered off into darkness.
On her cold walk home, she sensed two―no, three, auras and had stealthily gone and checked what was going on. She had watched from the shadows of tree―which was surprising, considering that she had a bright red kimono―with a intrigued expression. She had to stifle her laughs when she saw the boy with hanafuda earrings beg and cry for his demon sister to be spared. Kasai's eyes had hardened when she watched the Demon Slayer explode with rage and start yelling. Kasai had blinked when she saw the demon girl protect her older brother.
Kasai had chosen that she had enough with the miserable cold and had darted out of there, returning back to the warmth of her large shrine on the mountain.
Her mind traveled back to the boy's hanafuda earrings.
Where had she seen earrings like that again?
With a remembering gasp, her golden eyes shot open. How could she have forgotten! In surprising speed, she bolted up from the warmth of her sheets and bed, remembering to stop at the door and flick her wrist to put out the fire, before vanishing from her shrine.
Her aura and all.
'So that's where you got those earrings from..interesting.'
