"god, when did i start stuttering?" akaashi heard you mumble. he was kind of proud of himself that he got you to stutter.

he watched you scribble more on the paper before he thought of something. nicknames, couples call each other nicknames.

"hey, haib-i mean, f/n. how about we come up with some nicknames for each other. like for example, i'll call you blossom cause i'll say i asked you out under the cherry blossom trees. darling too, cause that's just romantic, i think." yeah he's had a girlfriend, but he and mai weren't one for nicknames.

the whole point of this relationship was to make mai jealous and kenma believe you weren't in love with him. this would be a good way to make mai jealous. make the relationship more believable. that's what he thought anyway.

"yeah sure, that's a good idea. i guess i could call you...pretty boy or keij." you said as you wrote more down on the paper.

"oh also, if you can. it'd be good if you could come to my volleyball games and training camps, if any should come up during our time together. but you'd have to be a manager for the training camps. if you're comfortable with that." akaashi pointed out. he saw you scribble that down and then you looked up and nodded.

"yeah, that'd be a good idea. who should i talk to about the whole manager situation?" akaashi had a look of surprise when you agreed to it.

"just come with me to practice after school today. shirofuku-san and suzumeda-san can help you out with the whole manager thing. they're third years anyway, they'll be looking for a replacement."

you nodded and then spoke up. "is there anything else you thought of, akaashi? i put down weekend hangouts just so we can get to know each other better. we drifted apart, better change to reconnect."

"i like that idea, f/n. you just called me akaashi though. you're already breaking the rules." he chuckled.

"is there anything else you want to write down, keiji?" you emphasized his name and he smirked a little. he thought for a moment until he thought of something.

"well, mai always thought it'd be a cute idea if i wrote her love notes everyday. i never did because i'm not good with my words, but i could do that with you." you nodded and then wrote more on your notebook before handing it to akaashi.

"so do you think this is doable?" you ask akaashi

"so do you think this is doable?" you ask akaashi. he reads through it before nodding and signing it on the lines you wrote down for the both of your signatures.

"well, this should be interesting, f/n. or should i say, darling." he says as he watches you hide your face behind your notebook and flip him off.

"i'll meet you after school so you can talk to shirofuku-san and suzumeda-san about the manager position. class 2-5 right?"

"yeah class 2-5. see you later, keij." and with that you walked off to the vending machine for a snack before classes started up again. and akaashi almost forgetting he also had class, that is until he heard the bell ring warning everyone there was only two minutes left until class, that's when he started sprinting.

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

akaashi was now waiting for you outside of your classroom. why was he so nervous? he was only standing outside your classroom.

'what's taking her so long? class has been out for ten minutes now.'

as soon as akaashi had thought that, you had walked out of the classroom, thanking your teacher for something before letting him lead the way to the gym.

"what was that about, if you don't mind my asking?"

"oh, i just had to talk to my teacher about retaking a test that i failed a while ago. no big deal really." you said as you shrugged your shoulders and continued to follow akaashi to the gym.

"have you given any thought as to when we should go public with this?" he asked you as you two continued to walk.

"eh...tomorrow? but i mean, we can tell the volleyball team today." you told him as he nodded to your words.

once arriving at the gym he opened the door and then he pointed out kaori and yukie to you while he went to the club room to get changed.

once changed, he walked over to you to ask you how the whole manager situation worked out.

"they said they needed the help so i'm on the team now. shirofuku-chan said i could get my track suit next week." you told him. that's when akaashi had hugged you.

"HEY HEY HEY AKAASH-wait? who's this?" he heard bokuto ask. akaashi had let go of the hug, still holding your waist though.

"bokuto-san, this is my girlfriend, f/n. darling, meet bokuto-san."

"HEY! are you our new manager? when did you two get together? more importantly, how did you two get together?" bokuto had asked, quite loudly.

"your questions will be answered after practice, bokuto-san. for now i'm gonna let f/n get situated with the manager position."

he had looked over to you and saw you looked a little overwhelmed so akaashi led you to where kaori and yukie were standing. he then left, but not before he snuck a kiss on the top of your head.

"this should be interesting." he mumbled as he walked over to where the team stood, surrounding the coach.
