in the middle of the hallways, he fought with the kid!❞ taeyong scoffed once more. ❝if no teacher had caught him, then he would have possibly broke that boy's arm. not only that, but he could have been suspended from it.

staring at the gravestone in front of his, the frown on his face turned into a small smile, letting out a chuckle moments after for some reason.

you must be happy right now, huh?❞ he then told him.

taeyong then closed his eyes and that when he felt the wind touching his face softly, causing for his lips to curve up to a wide smile, contented with the answer he got.

this has been his routine. if not everyday, then at least once a week. if not, he'll definitely make time to come and see him. it wasn't easy for him to gather the courage and the nerve come here. the first months— the whole year, even, was a struggle for him. by just passing this place, he would immediately recall all the memories they had, and that would cause him to have another breakdown. though, he wasn't running away. even though he blamed himself, even though he knew that the latter deserved better, even though he knew he could have done much more, and even though he knew that he could have saved him, taeyong had no plans of running and not only losing them, but also losing himself in the process.

he just needed time, time for acceptance, time to learn, and time to live with it.

giving up? you don't know how many times that crossed inside taeyong's head. he was scared to go on, he felt empty without him, but that beat in his heart reminded him that he's not gone. it gave him hope, it gave him a reason.

jaehyun is there with him, and you can't convince him otherwise.

of course you are!❞ taeyong exclaimed, letting out a mocking chuckle. ❝i bet you witnessed it first hand and just cheered on taehyun to break that kid's arm.

the wind started to blow even harder that anyone would mistaken it as an upcoming rainy day, but for taeyong, it's just him dealing with an in denial side of the latter.

don't even oppose to what i said, because i know you well, jung jaehyun.❞ that made him pause from saying another word as he realized what he had just said. pressing his lips into a thin line, he slouched his shoulders down, lowering his head, and played with his fingers. he could feel his tears starting to well up, and his throat itching to let out his cries.

not because he was starting to regret everything,

but because he missed him.

and i know you're happy wherever you are right now.❞ he then said, lifting his chin up and stared at the beautiful sky above him, having the sun shinning down on him. with a smile, taeyong knows that jaehyun is looking down at him. ❝you don't have to worry about me anymore.

having his gaze up in the sky, a tear rolled down from his eyes.

because i'm also happy here.❞ taeyong uttered out softly, closing his eyes as he let the sunlight hit his face.

literally having a sun hitting his face— or poking his cheeks, that is.

uncle bubu?

fluttering his eyes open, it didn't take taeyong a minute to immediately know whose voice it belonged to. however, he did take a while to first stare up in the sky before darting his eyes to the boy beside him, greeting him with an adorable smile.
