Among Us Fan-Fic (Halloween Challenge)

Chapter One

It started on a day like any other. In the Cafeteria of the large spaceship. Everyone was gathered to eat. Lilly looked around at everybody there. They were all in their spacesuits, except the helmet of course, and most of them were eating breakfast. Lilly was earlier to breakfast than normal and sat at the round table, waiting for her best friend, Peach, to arrive. Micah, Lydia, and Lottie were all sitting together while Sloane, Zionjah, and Page sat at a different table. Lilly looked up and saw a familiar face rushing over to her,

"Sorry I'm late," Peach said in her light Australian accent, "I got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning and my hair was a mess!" Lilly smiled as Peach took off her orange helmet revealing her half-brushed brown hair,

"Obviously." Lilly said with a smirk. Peach sat down with her food tray and they talked lightheartedly until tasks.

A dinging sound rang through the cafeteria and everybody put away their trays and gathered around the blue table in the center of the room. A red button was placed in the middle of the table and could be used in emergencies. Lilly stood beside Peach and waited for everybody else,

"Did everyone get their tasks?" Page asked,

"I did." Lottie replied,

"Same here." Sloane answered. Everyone else also agreed.

"Alright, Goodluck then." Page nodded,

"Don't forget to swipe your card!" Lilly added and the group headed down to admin, talking among each other along the way. They had all set off yesterday to Polus to deliver supplies. Lilly had worked with most of the crew, some longer than others, so she had a steady friendship with almost everyone. They got into Admin and began to swipe their card. Lilly was close to the back of the line and was chatting with Lottie while waiting. Page had gone first, then Micah, and then Lydia. She pulled out her card when there was a strange sound, and the lights flickered out,

"What is that?" Sloane asked, fear creeping into her voice,

"Why did the lights go out!?" Peach yelled.

"Someone turn the lights on!" Page said through the chaos. Lilly felt someone bump into her and tried to push them out of the way,

"The lights won't turn on!" Lottie said, her voice rising in panic,

"Everyone, turn on your flashlights!" Lilly yelled, pulling out her own flashlight and turning it on. Everyone calmed down once they could see again,

"Is everybody ok?" Micah asked shining his flashlight around,

"Yea." Peach answered, sounding a bit shaken. Lilly looked around and immediately knew something was off,

"Where is Zionjah?" She asked,

"Lydia is missing too." Page noted. There was no sign of either of them in the room,

"Well, we have to look for them!" Lottie said obviously worried,

"We can split up, one group can fix lights, another group can search the right side, and the last group can search the left side." Lilly suggested.

"I'll go with Peaches to the left side." Page said,

"I can go with Micah to the right." Lottie stated.

"Sloane and I will fix lights then." They agreed to press the emergency button if they found anything and set off to their separate ways. Lilly and Sloane move cautiously through the dark,

"Honestly, who thought this was a good idea?" Sloane rolled her eyes angrily. Lilly shrugged, there was an uneasy feeling in her stomach as they entered electrical,

"You fix the lights and I'll search the back." Sloane ordered,

"Ok, be careful back there." Sloane nodded and she quickly vanished into the dark. Lilly opened the panel and glanced at the wires. There was a simple solution to problems like this and she got to work. It took a few minutes but she finished it in the end,

"Sloane! Are you done yet?" Lilly called impatiently. No response. Her heart immediately began to race. She stood up a crept to the back of the room, "Sloane?" Her voice was shaky. Lilly peered around the corner and,

"BOO!" Lilly jumped and punched her fist at the noise, "Arg!" There was contact and then Sloane stepped into the light, clutching her nose,

"You're so stupid!" Lilly yelled,

"You punched me!" Sloane yelled back,

"You deserved it." Lilly said, folding her arms. There were footsteps and Page poked her head into the room,

"Hey! Everyone else is already done."

"Sloane was being childish." Lilly said walking over to Page. They stood outside the room while Sloane marched to them, talking frustratedly about getting punched for "no reason".

"Save your complaints and hurry up." Lilly said, rolling her eyes. Sloane looked like she was about to say something but before she could, the door slammed shut in front of them, separating them from Sloane,

"Sloane!" Page yelled and ran to the door controls,

"Quickly, Page!" Lilly demanded, pounding on the door,

"I'm trying!" She said desperately. The doors suddenly opened again, "Phew, glad they-" But she stopped and looked at the doorway. Lilly spotted it as soon as the doors opened. A pool of blood was flowing from a lifeless black spacesuit. Sloane's body had fallen to the ground, her helmet was cracked and there were several holes in her back, like she had been shot.

Lilly stood there, stunned into silence,

"I'll get the others." Page said quietly and took off towards the cafeteria. As her footsteps faded away, Lilly walked closer to the body,

"Why? Why would somebody do this?" She whispered to herself. Horror gripped her heart, there was a person on this ship who would hurt their friends, who didn't care about a person's life. There was a killer among us.
