Luna: The Moon Goddess

Previously: "When's the next full moon?" he asked me nonchalantly. "Four more days," I answer simply. "Well, in four more days you'll be able to do another mission. I can't risk you screwing up because you want to prove yourself," he told me firmly. "You are not to go anywhere near Greg Hassall! Am I understood?!" he bellows at me. I blinked, completely taken aback, but eventually sighed in defeat. I lowered my head. My father ordered him to kill the innocent. Why would he do that? Every cause has an effect. Yeah, I know what the punishment is for not following orders...death.

Chapter 3

I crept closer to the mansion, cutting off the lights on my motorcycle. I had to be cautious, no doubt Sam would've reported the news of my disobeying orders, and I know the consequences of my action. But come on, I'm his daughter, he wouldn't send out soldiers to kill me...right? Ugh, I have to speak with him. I decided to park my motorcycle a few blocks away from the mansion, so if something doesn't go to plan, I'll have it safe for me to retrieve.

I found a narrow alley outlined with apartment buildings. I park it on the side of a green , molded garbage bin. I cut it off and started my walk towards the mansion. It took me a while to get there since I didn't want to run and waste some of the power I have left.

I walk until I am at the front entrance of the mansion. To anyone else, this looks like a regular ol' mansion lived in my some snobby filthy rich people, but we know the truth.

I cautiously press the intercom button. Now I know what you're probably thinking, "why are you going through the main entrance?", well I'll tell you why, it's because it's the only way of getting on and off the property. The black iron fence surrounding the property stands at able 10 inches tall. Granted, I could aimlessly try jumping it, but what would that do besides wasting some of my powers?

I hear a buzz before Tucker's urgent voice enters my ears. "Luna? Are you crazy?! Sam came back and told your father what you did and now everyone knows. What the hell are you doing here? You know what will happen if they catch yo--"

"Yeah, I know Tucker. I just need to get in and out. I have to speak to my father," I informed him while cutting off his rambling.

"They'll have my head if they found out I let you in," he said in a hushed voice.

"They won't know unless you say something," I assure him. I hear him sigh and go quiet.

I took this silence as him thinking. After two minutes, the gates begin to open. I smile gratefully at the camera. "Thank you Tucker, I owe you one," I say before walking up the gravel driveway cautious.

"You owe me two," I hear Tucker mumble into the intercom.

I make my way around the house, to where a side door happened to be connected to the gym. I peek inside, hoping to catch a glance of Sarah. I see soldiers inside training but no sign of Sarah. She must be in her room. I duck low, so no one would see me if they happened to look towards the door, and creep alongside the walls of the mansion until I reached my destination.

I found a trap door that's supposed to only be used if our location has been revealed. We were told if need be to use this door instead of using the usual ones, so if people were coming in, we were sneaking. Haha...sneaking out. We wouldn't even need to "sneak" out, we'd just kill whoever the trespassers are. I place both my palms against the bronze steel door. I pressed onto it, causing it to push in once before sliding inside the wall.
