"Wei Dao, what is this?" inquired the woman in black as she looked up at the other with a small smirk, "We only ordered the green tea."
"Well, it's been so long since your last visit, so I thought we could have some fun with a little bet," the elder female replied before gesturing down at the lone cup, "If you can drink all of this, then the use of your rooms and all of your meals this time around will cost you nothing."
"Is that all?" the assassin mused as she picked up the cup and swirled the colorless liquid, smirking as she felt the observant gaze of her companion watching her every move.
"That is all," Wei Dao confirmed with a nod before a smile grew on her face as the ravenette downed the entire cup in one go.
"Done!" she chirped with a grin, handing the empty cup back to the innkeeper who only gave a small nod before returning to the kitchen.
"Diān Qié, what did you drink just now?" the prince questioned, scanning her form for any physical changes in her actions as she poured herself a cup of the tea.
"What other poison tastes like sweetened almonds?" the nineteen-year-old asked with a straight face as she took a slow sip of the tea before pouring a cup for the male, "It would have been well paired with a royal tea from one of the western countries."
"You willingly drank a full cup of cyanide?!" he gasped, moving to stand up only to have his companion reach across the table and grab his sleeve.
"Your Highness, have you forgotten that poison has no affect on me?" she chuckled, before easing the man in white into sitting back down, "It doesn't matter how potent, my body will eradicate it on its own."
"Reckless," he scoffed with narrowed eyes before taking the cup of tea that was placed in front of him while the female only shrugged in response.
"Maybe, but it makes me hard to predict and it makes my jobs easier to complete," she replied as the food began to arrive at their table, "all openings are easier to take advantage of that way."
When the sun went down the prince retreated back to his room for the night, but the ravenette decided to have a walk in order to get some air, though her guard was up the entire time.
If Dulaman was dangerous during thet day, then that danger would immediately quadruple once the sun was down.
The people would be sure to barricade their doors and windows as they heard the various screams that echoed through the streets, but the woman walked at an even pace with her head held high.
Even if she was wary of the dangers as a suspicious figure herself, there was no way that she'd make herself an easy target by looking tense.
She could and would fight if needed, she just didn't want to draw her blade for anything unnecessary as she barely even used it during her jobs.
As a poison specialist the female would usually just disguise herself as a server or dancer and eliminate her targets through their meals, when they were most vulnerable, then leave the eyes of others when the deed was done rather than break into her targets' home like a barbarian and have to spill copious amounts of blood everytime, but it was unavoidable in some cases.
When the female reached one of the smaller piers, she walked all the way to the end and took a seat with her feet dangling off the edge as she leaned back on her hands and basked in the light of the full moon.
She could feel energy buzzing all throughout her body as she kept her eyes closed and focused on her breathing, something she didn't have the chance to use often as she didn't find anyone worth using it on.
