"Hay! Nakakabagooooooooooot!"
Says the protagonist of this story. Who? None other than me. Yes! This is my story and will revolve around me and the events that will occur.
I'm Takumi Hatake, 16 years old and a student of Saitama High School. You may find it funny as to why I spoke Tagalog. That's because my mom is a Filipino doctor in Tokyo. Dad is a pure Japanese from Kyoto and is a high ranking official of the JSDF (Japan Self-Defense Forces).
"I know you're bored, Takumi, half an hour more and will be there." Says my dad who's driving a car while drinking an energy drink.
"You actually understood me, dad?" My reply to him when I gets shocked that he knows what I've said.
"Of course! Thanks to your mom, I'm now able to understand Tagalog." His reply to me.
"So, dad, how long is our stay in Hokkaido?" I asked him curiously since it is my first time going to my grandparents' residence.
"About a month, I guess? Your father wants to buy a farmland there." My mom replies with a smile on her face.
Wow. I never thought that Dad is really serious in buying a land for planting crops that I've suggested to him just last month. Could it be that he's really interested on farming? I want to ask him so many question right now but he's driving so I'll just wait until we arrive to our destination.
"OK, who's hungry?" Dad asks us.
"I'm hungry, dear. I want a beef curry." Mom replies.
"Dad can I have the same as mom's?" My answer since I'm not hungry after all. It's just that I don't want to disappoint ny cheerful father.
"Alright, all three of us will be eating beef curry. Let's have a stopover at this gasoline station, luckily, there's a convenience store beside it." What a cheerful reply from my dad. He has been like this since his younger ages according to mom.
So we took a stopover, it's quiet but a lively place. "We are still kilometers away from Hokkaido, I guess I can relax here for minutes." I said and sat on a chair with its table facing the glass wall. Mom and dad came back with our food and ate joyfully then suddenly, I get goosebumps while eating. "Di naman malamig dito ah?" I said to myself and just ignored what happened.
After relaxing a few minutes, we drive again on our way to Hokkaido and again, I get another goosebump. "Dad, please close the window, I think I'm cold." I asked him while he's driving so he closed all our cars' windows from his seat. I took my phone from my bag and played Sabaton's Primo Victoria album, my favorite Swedish power metal band, while listening to it, I suddenly heard mom and dad screaming. Then I realized that our car lost its control and is running towards a sharp curve. "Mom! Dad! The doors are not opening!" I cried while trying to open the doors, dad manages to break the window beside him but it's too late. We have hit the metal girders that prevents cars from falling and we fall straight from a hundred foot cliff.
I'm still conscious after the accident, the door on my left is now detached from our car, I crawled my way out and tried to stand up and by the moment I attempted to turn back and look for my parents, our car blows up and knocks me a few meters which made me lost my consciousness.
"Hey! Over here! This one's still breathing." Says the female voice. I can hear her but I can't open my eyes well. It's blurry. Everything is blurry. My body feels heavy. Am I gonna die? Where are my parents? I hope they're alright.
