Chapter 11:Bad News

Caroline's point of view:
I look up at the building in front of me, I was finally going to find out the truth. We walked in, it was big, everyone was walking around and ignoring us. Dad had to go do something so Nat and I walked to the other side of the building to see if we could find any records from the day SHIELD fell. There was nothing

We walked to numerous other places, I found somethings but not much. Mom was just a civilian she wasn't a SHIELD agent, so I figured thats why we didn't find much about her death but when I didn't find anything on Daisy that shocked me. "Hey is there any more places that there could be any information" I asked Nat, I came here to find information not leave with more questions

"Yeah just one, we can head there now but I don't think there will be any more information." Nat said taking my hand and starting to walk away

"I know, I just want to check." I said following her lead. Dad met up with us as we were walking. I need to check every option, even if I find nothing. It will give me some reassurance

We were walking up on the third floor when I saw multiply people running around this pod like chamber. Someone was in it but I didn't think anything of it, sombody probably got hurt on a mission and needed help "Oh that looks bad" I pointed and we all looked at the mess.

"Yeah lets, let them deal with it" Dad said pulling me along but I stopped. I got a quick glance at the face. I would recognize that face anywhere it was Daisy. Daisy was in the pod, I take my hand out of my dads and turn around.

I start running in her direction, I couldn't stop running. I came here for answers and I was at least getting some about her, I flew down the flights of stairs. Nat was running after me trying to catch me, she was yelling my name but I kept ignoring her. Dad had jumped off the floor and slammed into the floor on the first level. He was waiting outside the door that led to the stairs to grab me for when I came out of it. There he was as soon as I opened the door he grabbed me and pulled me into a hug.

"Hey you have to stop running" he said trying to get me to calm down. I was fighting him not wanting to let Daisy leave my sight, some people were staring at us but I didn't care. I kept fighting him until

I broke out of his grip and ran the rest of the way to Daisy, nobody got in my way. I slid into the glass container pounding on the glass. It wasn't cracking but if I kept hitting it, the glass would break eventually. They had stopped pushing the container and just looked at me, Daisy's eyes were shut and there was blood everywhere, she wasn't moving and it scared me. I can't loose her, I just found her again

I feel a pair of arms around me, I was dragged away from the pod that held Daisy in it. I fought as they started pushing Daisy away and into another room. I couldn't lose her I yelled her name as loud as I could but nothing. May sat down on the floor and dragged me down to the floor as well. She put me in her lap and wrapped me in her arms

"Hey Caroline its me stop" I heard May say holding my face in her hands, I was looking back where Daisy was I was to concerned about her. I'm not shocked she does recognize me. I look the same as I did two years ago just with boobs now

"May" I say exhausted I look up at her and hug her. I didn't think I was ever going to see her again or Daisy and now I may never see her again if she dies. I pulled away and looked May in the face "What happened?" I asked her

"There was a fight, she was shot." May said, I could feel more tears starting to form and I didn't like it. I need to keep my powers under control, I took a few deep breaths and started to calm down

"I need to see her" I say pulling away from May's arms "She can't die" I say starting to cry again, I need her in my life. I don't know what to do without her, I don't what to do without family

"No, we need to let the doctors do their work" May says holding me from running through the operating doorse. I looked at her, I know she is right but I have needed this and now I can't even see her. The tears started to dry and she wiped the ones on my face away

"She is going to make it right, I mean she has to make it. I need my family" I say

"She will make it, I promise" May says giving me a small smile

Dad and Nat run up to me out of breath, from where we were it was on the opposite side of the compound and I can run fast when I need to. Nat was still in the stair well and I had pushed dad to the floor when I got out of his hug "Care what was that about?" dad asked me looking worried

"And what are you doing with Agent May" Nat asks, I forgot they have a past together. Nat had trained May before she joined Daisy's team

May and I look at them, we stand up. May spoke up before I could "We are family, how do you guys know Caroline" hearing this I smile. I thought of her as family but I didn't know if she thought of me as her family, I got excited she thinks of me as family

"I am her father" Steve says reaching for my hand. I grab it but stay with May, she looks shocked. I mean of course she is shocked, nobody knew who my dad was. Mom didn't want anyone to know, not even Daisy knew about dad and sometimes I had to stop myself from saying something about him to anyone but most of the time we didn't talk about it
