Merry Christmas ya'll! Hope ya'll got those Gucci face masks and PS5's or whatever you kids like nowadays. Remember to still practice social distancing and stay home as much as you can! Light up the fireplace at home and drink some hot chocolate while giving your Animal Crossing villagers their presents. Alright, enough chit chat, here's the shitty novel you chose to read :) Actually quick note that this chapter doesn't take place in my timeline just yet! So there'll be some things that probably don't make sense!

The year is already on its last month? I can't believe it. It felt way shorter, I'm not gonna lie. But that's probably because I was in Inkopolis for 9 out of the 12 months of the year. Yet, it still felt shorter than that. It felt as if yesterday I had fallen asleep in a cosmic subway train and dreamt about the love of my life but in reality, it was way before I stepped a foot on the civilized soil I step on now. I didn't really have a concept of time down there but all I can say is that it was long ago. I like to consider this year probably my best year so far because it's the only year where I experienced the most. Well, obviously. It's the only year out of the many other years that I've been able to know what it's like to be a human being rather than being confined in a test tube. I really do hope that the upcoming years are filled with more things for me to experience such as celebrating my birthday.

When is my birthday? I genuinely have no clue at all. I'll probably have to do some digging around to find out. Even if it means going back to the Deep Sea Metro. Enough of that, however. Let's get back on track. But, where really is that track? Oh, that's right. December. With another season change, comes an aesthetic change as well. Spring has a soft breeze, bright sun and a blooming flower aesthetic. Summer has more of a hotter days, beach days and tropical alcoholic beverage aesthetic and Autumn has a warm color, colder breeze along with longer sleeved shirts and legwear aesthetic. For Winter? I'm still not so sure. All I know is that it is way colder than Autumn and we need thicker coats and scarves. I'll probably learn more about it as time goes on. For now, I'll just push it aside and put on the scarf that I was able to buy myself with my money. And while I didn't really buy this, I also wanted to point out the button-up varsity jacket Mido got for me! It's based on his Turf War team which is simply called "Purple Team." It's very simplistic but it serves its purpose of keeping me warm while also having cool design on the back. It has a completely black torso while the sleeves are white with a striped pattern at the bottom. The back of it simply has pictures of Mido, David, Sarah and Del's heads while the words 'Purple Team' are above them in a varsity font. It has a very College sports theme to it but it's still pretty amazing.

I make my way inside of the cafe and I immediately smell the scent of fresh gingerbread and cinnamon while removing my scarf since I got slapped by a really warm gust of wind. It's not really hot in a bad way since my body is desperate for it, it's just that my body got gotten more of it than what it needs to I started removing my jacket as well. It felt like the heat I get hit by, by the oven in the kitchen. But I'm also greeted by many Inkling and Octoling girls in their uniforms decorating the place from head to toe. Some of them are decorating a pine tree by the display window at the front of the Cafe, others are using step stools to put up lights on the walls and some of them are sitting by the tables to get up small centerpieces of them. It really does look busy today..

Maira then turns her head to see who had come in. She waves at me with a smile and then gets back to putting up some decorations on the wall "Good morning, Octavio! We need to get these decorations done before we open so sorry if we start out a little rushed today."
