Stargazer slipped through the trees, her dark scales helping her blend into the dark jungle. The nightwing began to flap her wings and climbed into the dark sky.

After a few minutes of flying, Stargazer landed on a jagged cliff that was facing a Wolly carpet of trees. She landed at the edge of the cliff and tilted her head to look at the stars that looked like blinking eyes. The nightwing let out a happy sigh as the silver moonlight bounced off of her black and sunset blue scales.

Before long, Stargazer heard leaves rustling behind her. She whirled around and was about to blow fire at whoever dared to try and sneak up on her when a raspberry scaled dragon head peeked out from the foliage. Stargazer felt her wings relax.

"I still can't believe how bad you are at sneaking." Stargazer chuckled as Jambu came to sit next to her.

"Escuse me, but not all of us can blend into the night." Jambu exclaimed, narrowing his bright orange eyes playfully. Stargazer snorted.

"Says the dragon who can change their scale colors." She scootched away from him and raised a black wing to shield herself from the male rainwing's eye scorching scales.

"This is my happy color though!" He yelped. Stargazer lightly whacked him with her wing. They both burst out laughing.

When they were done laughing they looked out at the dappled black sky. They were leaning against eachother.

It was somethimes hard to believe how much Jambu has matured since they first met. Sure, he was still his fun and goofy self, but he seemed...older. He could now count to 30 and he was becoming more serious.

Her mind immediately drifted back to when they had first met. About two years ago, Stargazer was able to sneak away after dinner to go and find a perfect place to watch the stars, (hence her name.) Jambu had been flying around and he had spotted her, even though her scales blended into the darkness, (he says that its because they looked silver from the air.) She rembered him landing beside her to talk yo her and since then, they met at this spot after dusk almost every night. The meetings had been friendly at first but soon, it grew into more. And they both knew it.

"Remind me again why the only times we interact with eachother is during the night?" He asked, peering fown at her. Oh!

" We want to keep our relationship private because we don't know how the two tribes will react, even though Queen Glory has been queen for over three years. Especially since you're her brother, we still want to lay low in order to avoid any more tension or awkwardness" Stargazer explained, rolling her eyes. Jambu let out a long sigh.

"Right." He mumbled. They were silent for a few mor moments until Stargazer asked a question.

"Do Queen Glory and Deathbringer have a name for their future dragonet yet? The egg is bound to hatch soon." She asked.

" They have a few names in mind but I think they're leaning towards 'Firefly'". Jambu answered, excitement building in his voice at the thought of having a niece. She could feel herself gulp.

" D-do you think we should be thinking of names?" She spoke carefuly, almost as if she was taking extra care in choosing her words. He cocked his head and squinted his orange eyes at her.

"Why would we need to be thinking of names for dragonets?" He implored, feeling beyond confused. Stargazer gave a small sigh before she said seven words that would change their lives forever.

"Because, you're going to be a dad."
