I reached for the citrus scented shampoo and lathered it across my hair. When I started to wash it off, the feeling of my fingers running through my hair reminded me of how it felt when Cedric was the one who did so. Unexpectedly appearing behind me in the corridors just to play with my hair—occasionally bringing it up to his nose to indulge in the scent. How he tried to braid it at two in the morning as we lay in his dorm, and how he tucked it behind my ear whenever it got in my face.

Those were the days. The days i'll never be able to experience again.

I thought he loved being with me—or maybe he did,

maybe he just loved being with her more.

Maybe her hair smells like vanilla, maybe he finds that sweeter. Maybe her voice is softer, maybe he enjoys listening to her voice more than mine. Maybe she's kinder, maybe he likes her softness compared to my rough attitude.

Maybe to him, she's an angel.

While all I bring him is hell.

I sat down on the shower floor, feeling the urge to cry, but my eyes were too tired to even shed a single tear.

I spent every minute of every single day this summer thinking about what was going on in his life, or if I was still even a part of it. Plenty sleepless nights and missed meals all because I was scared for his life when I found out he was joining the tournament. Numerous hours of patiently waiting outside in the cold to wait for him to finish his Quidditch practice.

And a handful of i love you's I gave him every single day.

Was all that and a few hundred more not enough for him to be happy with me?

I sighed, my breath forming a cloud of mist in the heated shower.

After washing up, I made my way to my closet to put on a new set of warm clothes. I slipped on an oversized black hoodie along with some black sweatpants. Not even bearing to look at the mirror and brush my hair, I threw myself on the bed and closed my eyes, hoping that it'll all be better once I open them again.

"Draco I fucking swear-" The sound of the door creaking open and two quarreling voices woke me up from my nap.

"I don't think Aunt Cissy would be too happy to hear that you've been bothering the favorite niece." Even though my back was facing them, I could feel Danielle confidently strutting inside the dorm room after saying that.

"For fuck's sake, you're the only one she sees," Draco sneered. I assumed he was standing somewhere near the doorway. "Either way, you could tell her what you want- I couldn't care less. Now give me back my wand or i'll tell your mum that you've been shagging my bestfriend."

Ignoring what he said—like it didn't affect her at all, Danielle climbed up on my bed and tapped my shoulder. "Clemy,"

I shifted in my position, burying my face into a pillow. "Let's go get breakfast, i'm hungry."

Seeing that I was awake but not responding, she pulled my shoulders, causing my eyes to flutter open and face her. They weren't freshly swollen, but last night's happenings wore me out—the crying, the drinking, the sudden storm of emotions, and something i'd rather not mention—they reflected on my eyes, forming dark circular bags underneath and a slight swelling on the eyelids.

To put it simply, it didn't look like I had the best night.

"Bloody hell, what happened?" A concerned look formed on her face. "Hang on, i'll shower for a sec and we'll talk, yeah?" She said frantically, brushing a few strands off my face and rushing to the bathroom.
