Shifted (BNHA Non-binary Reader Insert)

Chapter One

A glowing baby so bright and blinding was born into the world. Later on as the baby grew up and started a family, more people like them were being discovered around the world. As time went on, 80% of the population possessed the mysterious ability, which later on in time was referred to as a quirk (a super power). 

Those who are deemed with powerful quirks are then recommended to attend UA Hero Highschool to further develop their abilities. And those who graduate from UA Hero Highschool then known as Pro Heroes.

My name is (Y/N) (L/N) and I'm a 15 year old person from Japan. I would describe my daily routine as very monotonous and boring. Everyday, I went to school, came home, did my homework, watched anime, read manga, and slept. Until one day, I woke up in a very unusual situation.

A bright white light was shining in my face. I reached to flick off the light switch, but nothing was there. 'Weird.' I thought. The moment I tried opening my eyes to see where the light switch was, wind was rushing into them and forcing them to water. "What the..." I said hesitantly. 

I forced my eyes to fully open, and there I was. Falling from the sky. I was getting closer and closer to the ground, so I had to think fast. The thing is, when you're falling at top speed, you can't really think. I could feel the wind slipping through my fingers faster and faster as a wave of panic washed over me. A bright teal, light flashed over my vision, and before I knew it, the biting wind had stopped.

A pair of arms wrapped around my body, and we were on the grassy ground, no longer falling. I looked up, and saw a character from the video game that I usually play. She looked exactly the same. 

She had green, fluffy hair with a small low ponytail, big round glasses that overtook her face and her luminescent amber eyes. "Sucrose...? What are you doing here?" I looked up at her with squinted eyes. She simply looked down at me, tilted her head, and gave me a nervous smile.

She put me down and stood with her hands behind her back. "I'm sorry I just grabbed you so suddenly, you were falling and all I could think was to save you." Sucrose looked down at the grass and fidgeted with her fingers behind her back. I forgot that she was a shy person in the game, so she would be shy here in this world. 

"I'm grateful that you saved me, and you don't have to be sorry," I said while looking into her eyes. "I just need to figure out where we are. I doubt that we're in my universe anymore, since you're here with me." I stood there for a moment in the grass, thinking about where I could be. Then it clicked. I grabbed Sucrose by the hand and began walking towards the city. "Hold on, slow down! Where are we going?"

I looked at her with determined eyes. "We're in the world of My Hero Academia, and we're going to the top hero school in Japan."

Hey y'all! Ironically, this story is my final project in my language arts class (besides the (Y/N) part)... but that's cool. I just hope I get a good grade lmao. Anyways, I'm glad to be back. I'll be uploading one chapter a day, so please look forward to the next chapters!
