*Two months and 24 days ago*

"Good morning." I heard from above me. I looked up to see Vic staring at me, a small smile playing on his lips. I shot him a smile as well, yawning right after. I didn't exactly get my eight-hour sleep last night, in fact, I haven't slept for more than one hour. Jim was constantly on my mind, not allowing me to get any rest.

"Not exactly." I answered after a while. Vic didn't answer me, just kept staring. Thankfully he hadn't gave me one of those sympathetic looks. I hated them. I yawned again, burying my head into Vic's chest.

"You didn't get any sleep at all, did you?" Vic questioned but he already knew the answer.

"Probably like an hour, I guess." I told him, shrugging it off. He then unwrapped his arms from around me and got up from the couch. I immediately missed his warmth. I rolled over and wrapped my arms around my frame to keep myself from the cold.

"I'll go get food and you get some rest before I come back." He said firmly. I'll try my best, I thought to myself. I only groaned in agreement, though, and then I heard the front door open and close so I knew Vic had left. I changed my position again, this time laying on my back and staring at the ceiling.

I wondered how long we would be staying at the house. I certainly didn't want to go back to Jim and Jessica's, never again. But on the other hand, we couldn't stay in that house forever, somebody would eventually find or recognise us. What would we do, then? I wouldn't be able to live at Vic's house for a long period either. Well, there was always the choice to become a homeless teenage boy, living under a bridge.

I got bored so I stood up from the couch and walked out of the living room into a hallway. I could see the front door to my left, a kitchen in front of me and a set of stairs to my right. Making a quick decision, I took the stairs. There were three doors, I choose the ones in front of me and walked inside. It looked like a bathroom, a small one that is. There was a shower, a toilet and a basin with a mirror. It made me wonder what had happened to the previous owners of the house, I mean, they had left a lot of stuff behind.

I walked out of the bathroom and headed to the next room. That one seemed like a bedroom, probably belonged to the owners. There was an old bed with a mattress which looked pretty dingy. In a corner of the room was a brown wooden wardrobe. I stepped closer to it, opening the doors. I almost expected that something would jump out and attack me, but no such surprise. However, some dresses were hanging there, maybe like five of them, but that was it. I closed the wardrobe and left the room.

The last one I had visited looked like a teenager's bedroom. It had dark walls and leftovers of posters. The only other thing in the room was a table with two drawers. I opened the first one, finding some school papers and notes. I then opened the second one where was a bit less stuff. I picked up a stack of photos and looked through them. I noticed that it was a girl who lived in that room, she had a lot of photos of her with her friends. Next thing I found was a guitar pick, so she probably played a guitar. Lastly I noticed a small box in the back of the drawer. I took it in my hand and opened it, my eyes widening at the sight. There were tens of razor blades of different shapes and sizes. It made me feel sorry for her. I could only imagine how terrible it had to be, doing this to herself. But the fact that she had left them in the room was a good thing I guessed, I mean, if she still needed them then she would have taken them with her.

"Kells, where are you? I've got the food." I heard from downstairs. Vic was back. I put the box back in the drawer and headed down the stairs. I found Vic in the kitchen, his back facing me. I walked inside and he jumped in fear as the floor squeaked underneath me.

"Oh, hey." He smiled as he saw that it was just me. "I'll make us something to eat." He announced and I nodded, walking into the living room. I sat on the couch and waited for Vic to join me. He eventually did and handed me my sandwich.
