Harriets pov:
It has been a few months since my so-called parents left me in the orphanage, everyone here is very nice and I'm really glad about that. I have been reading every book about magic and I have been practicing in every free time I have and I have been amazing at it. I won't lie that it is lonely because I didn't make any new friends but I was used to the loneliness, Mr. Skylar is my favorite person in the orphanage because he respects my decisions when I want to be alone.
I was reading a book about advanced potions when I heard a knock on my door, I quickly put my book away in my trunk and opened the door. "Harriet, I have good news for you today." Mr. Skylar said and I was really curious about what it was. "You're getting adopted~," Mr. Skylar said and I was a little happy because I would soon have a family that would love me.
"Who is adopting me?" I asked curiously and excitedly. "A man with long black hair, I think he said his name is...Severus Snape?" Mr. Skylar said and I got excited. "I'll go pack my things right now," I said excitedly because I always thought of uncle Severus like a father to me and now he can really be my father. Mr. Skylar nodded to me then left, I quickly packed all my things and made sure nothing was left behind.
I cast the same spell to make my trunk light as a feather and went downstairs with my trunk. I saw my godfather Severus in muggle clothes waiting patiently for me, I put my trunk down and quickly hugged him because I missed him so much and the last time I saw him was on my birthday. "I missed you so much," I said hugging Severus and he hugged me back.
"As did I. Now come. Once I finish the paperwork, you can now be my daughter." Severus said and I would soon get to call him dad. After the paperwork was done, I was no longer Harriet Potter, but Harriet Snape. I and my new dad Severus Snape left the orphanage, I said goodbye to everyone there and we went home. I and Dad went home and I was so happy that I was now going to live with someone who actually cared for me.
This may be short but the next one will be longer
