I ran up to Dally and dropped to my knees.
"no, no, not him please, not him goddamn it." I sobbed. I saw a box in his and grabbed it. When I opened it, to see a note addressed to me.
'Y/N, you probably think I stole this, but when I first laid my eyes on you, I knew you were the one. So I saved up my money and I've been secretly working at the DX. I know we've been dating for a year, but I love you so damn much.-' I looked in the box and saw a shiny diamond ring. I cried harder.
"Y/N what is it?" ponyboy asked. I read the note out loud to them.
"I will marry you, Dally! Please, just stay! I need you! Not you and Johnny! Not you and Johnny on the same day! Dally!" I cried even harder, "I love you, Dally"
"ma'am you need to move back," an officer told me
"I don't need to do anything you shot him," I screamed. Darry picked me up.
"come on now Y/N" he tried soothing me
"dally." I tasted the salty tears as they ran down my face. Darry sat down in his recliner with me rocking me softly. "he was gonna propose," I choked out through the tears
"He really loved you," Darry said, still holding me. Darry was like the father I never had.
