Spencer Reid, genius

First day on the team

Its your first day at the BAU. Your know-it-all co-worker seems to catch your eye...

You hop out of your taxi. Its a pretty gloomy day. You had graduated collage a year ago, you major in a lot, like phycology and politics. You enter the doors leading to the BAU. 

"y/n yl/n! over here." a voice calls out. You strut over to a tall man with black hair. "Welcome to the BAU! I'm SSA Aaron Hotchner, but you can call me Hotch." the man says. "pleasure to meet you!" you say excitedly. Hotch leads you to the conference room.

 "Good morning everyone! This is Y/n Yl/n. She is a new recruit. " Hotch says introducing you to your new team mates. They all introduce themselves. You sit down in an empty chair. Hotch is halfway into explaining the next serial killer case when a scrawny man walks in.

"ah! sorry I'm late." the man says. "Good morning Reid. This is y/n yl/n, a new recruit." Hotch says reluctantly.

The man grabs your hand and shakes it. He has big hands...huge you should say. "I'm Spencer Reid, you can call me Dr.Reid, or Reid, or Spencer, I-I don't care." Reid says nervously.

Reid sits down next to you, his legs brushing against yours. He gives u an apologetic wave. Soon Hotch finishes up his explanation of our next case.

"wheels up in 30"

A man was going around killing blonde, elderly women. We had found a suspect, his name was Carlos Gordon. 

"Carlos Gordon, FBI!" Morgan says. After a minuet of waiting for an answer, Morgan kicks down the door. we all split up and cover rooms. A chorus of "clear!" 's were heard through out the building. Everyone was downstairs. You and Reid were covering the top floor. Suddenly you hear a struggle in the room next to you.

"ah! backup, I need backup!" Reid screams, muffled by Carlos Gordon's hands. You run in, spooking Carlos. He punches Reid knocking him out. 

"I need a medic!!"  you say into your mic. Carlos tries to jump out the window, but you handcuff him before he can escape. It turns out Carlos had blitz attacked Reid. You hear a clatter of footsteps running up the stairs. "Agent yl/n! Are you guys ... ok. " Morgan says, trailing off. The new recruit had already caught a bad guy?

Soon, a medic is called. The team escorts Carlos out of the house. You are instructed to stay with Reid. 

Reid's eyes starts to flutter. He sits up and rubs his head. He looks at you with a puzzled look. You give him a soft smile.

"Carlos Gordon knocked you out. I'm staying here until the medics come." You say softly.

Reid tries to get up, he's visibly dizzy. 

"Reid sit down. You might have a concussion, just sit here 'till medics arrive." You say.

"no, its fine. I'm fine." Reid insists. 

Reid wobbles over to the door. 

"maybe I will sit down." Reid says. You chuckle.

" you know, 19 percent of people die when they get knocked out." Reid says, sitting next to you. 

"no, I Didn't...im glad your not part of that 19 percent!" I say laughing.

Soon the medics arrive, you return to the BAU.
