WHY DO WE

I'm a doctor and a strong person. That's what I've always made myself believe. But in the last three days I don't think anyone would think of me that way. I was having high fever the next morning after I spent the night with him. After dad send me home with A-Chang, I came back and laid on my bed and passed out. I don't know what happened the whole day. I know I'm not that weak but why would I have a fever after having a night of great sex!

So let me explain. I've broke up with my first ever boyfriend long ago and never really found the need to go into another relationship again. After having physical relationship with Travis I just kinda stopped doing it and I'm not the kind of person who goes around doing one night stands. So you see, you can say I'm nearly a virgin. And that night's activity kinda took a toll on me. I got a fever for a day. The next two days I did light duties in the hospital because for some reason my dad wanted me to take rest and didn't have surgery scheduled for me.

Over all the last three days were pretty much boring for me. So today when my old friend came to China from Korea, I made a plan of meeting him. We've been friends from when we were both children. He was one of my father's friend's nephew. We met in one of the parties I attended with father. After that we became really close, because our characters are quite similar. He's talkative, I'm talkative too. He's cheerful, I'm cheerful too.

He told me he'll take me to an event he's attending today. And after a bit of hesitation I agreed to join.

This event is a bike race. A charity bike race to be precise. I've never attended one and I was a bit curious too. I went to the announcement stand as they call it and sat there watching the race while talking to Jackson, my childhood friend. The race is really exciting, but what shocked me was not the race but one particular biker. I didn't realize he was a biker. The man I had a one night stand with. He's not just any biker. He's the winner of today's race.

And what's more shocking is he's Jackson's cousin. Could it be any more awkward?

I tried not to look awkward around him. Oh and I finally came to know that his name is Wang Yibo. From the very first time I saw him today I tried to conceal the fact that we've had a one night stand. He looks really good by the way. I was planning on going to the hospital from here, but Jackson offers the guys a ride! So much for trying to avoid Wang Yibo!

"Hey Yibo. How about I give you a lift home? I'm going there. Aunty invited me for lunch today."

Yibo looked a little taken aback. "Uhh. Okay." I thought he'd refuse!

"Jackson! I gotta go to the hospital, you know." Oh! Now I sound like I'm trying to avoid him! "I mean I can just call A-Chang to pick me up."

"Oh! Come on! We haven't seen each other in ages. Don't we have so much to catch up?" Jackson is overenthusiastic. But he's kinda true too. I've moved to Westport and he moved to the US. Then he again moved to Korea. It's probably been seven years that we've met again. "So, can you not call ZhuoChang? I can drop you at the hospital! Please!"

Well the puppy eyes he's showing I can't say no to that. "Okay. Let's go then."

In the car I sit at the passenger seat while Jackson drives. It's time like this you realise how talkative Jackson can be. He kept talking about stuffs like his time in US after we met in LA. He talked about the training with his band mates in Korea. And I find it really comfortable to just sit and listen.

"You know, Jinyoung keeps doing that all the time. I'm really frustrated. But I still love him." I look at him and find how his face is glowing talking about it.

I smile. "You remember Addison?"

"Yeah, that cute girl that was chasing Eric, right? She was cute, but she's really confident. I got a shock when she literally went up to Eric and told him right away. Hahahaha."

"Yeah! She's really confident." I remember the time we all met and how Addison proposed Eric. "She's got a baby recently. A baby girl. The father ran away."

"Really? That's odd. What happened?"

We kept talking forgetting that there's another person there too in the car looking at us talking in English. Well you see, Jackson and I always speak English. But lately Jackson uses some Korean words too. Yibo, sitting at the backseat probably thinks we're weird. Suddenly he breaks us from our talk.

"Jiaer, how far is the hospital?"

We both look at him. Maybe his Chinese surprised us both. But we need to answer him right?

"It's just five minutes more from here." After telling him I turn around, but Yibo's face came to my view just fine. He was shocked. Why? "Jackson, have you met  Jingyu?"

"No. I don't think he wants to meet me."

"Is he still holding a grudge? Jackson, you can just tell him the truth." I find Jackson looking a bit gloomy. But who am I to let my friend be gloomy? "Oh btw, can we go have dinner someday?"

"Sure. I'm free lately. Got only one show. When do wanna meet, Zhan?"

"Tomorrow? I've got one surgery. After that I'm free." I get out of the car, when we reach in front of the hospital. In my peripheral vision I see Wang Yibo looking at me all the way until I enter the hospital.

And right after I enter the ward I find two bickering juniors. Yayy! Just a normal day.

Hello from the other side!!! Hehehe! How you guys doing? I miss my bestie. She's in Korea and has an exam to prepare for! So we can't talk....

Anyway, here's a new chapter for you guys... So finally Yibo and Zhan know each other's name.... And Yibo feels jealous, already? I guess he already fell... But let's just wait to find out...
