He stretch forth his hand for her to take but she declined with the shaking of head a small smile on her face admix her teary eyes.

He retreat and squat down in front of her,he waited for her to stand but instead she pulled her legs under her and held to the wall for support with one hand but the other hanging by her side with nothing for it to hold onto. She pulled herself up but immediately her weak legs crumpled below her and she gave in going swiftly down to earth but was kept aloof by her husband's strong arms around her slender body. His large form was wrapped around her like a mother wraps her new born. She gasped at his his swiftness. She was so enthralled by his musky smell and her nostrils couldn't have enough of it,they stood transfixed his arms wrapped around her like clothing and she on the other hand had her arms around his neck.

"Are you okay" he asked his words causing her hairs to stand on end. And even though he had a deep mid night voice she couldn't miss the concern in his tone which was new to her ears. For the first time rather than cry his words made her chest swell and his voice sounded sweet to her ears because the were void of anger. She kept her eyes on his and nodded. Her throat was dry and husky and she couldn't help but be grateful for her lack of speech because she her voice would have sounded coarse if she were to speak.

He adjusted her in his arms and took her in bridal style towards the bed her whole body burning due to the sensation of his touch. Gently he placed her on it and she shock couldn't help but follow his form were ever it went as he search frantically for a first aid box.

He knelt below her when he had found it and open the box.  He dip the cotton wool into the iodine and wrapped his hand around her hurt leg but she pulled it away and hid it under her skirt.

"Don't annoy me Zuriel" he said in annoyance and pushed back the skirt and then again wrapped his hand around her wrist. She wince as the the damp wool came in contact with her flesh and though several times she tug on her leg he still held it tightly firm until he was through with what he wanted to do and though pain upon pain was surging through her she still felt happy deep down that he was caring for her.

"So cheap" her subconscious said.
"Just a matter of few words and and a simple care and he has won your heart" she added and Zuriel pouted openly. Miles sat down on the Marple floor staring at his wife expression. His eyes moved from her furrowed eyebrows to her dry pouted lips and he gulped fascinated at how cute she looks with that expression almost like and angry child.

Her eyes met his and her features soften. She gave him a soft smile revealing her sharp canine teeth on either side of her upper teeth, which some will call vampire teeth.

He nodded and stood up from the ground and left the room after putting back the first aid box.

"If wasn't hard being nice" he thought feeling proud of himself.

Zuriel left her position on the bed and leaped towards the large white couch by the window. She sat herself on it with her back inclined to one of its arm rest. She pull the grey curtains ajar and stared towards the dark sky. Her gaze travel to the ground below her and from where she sat on the second floor she could see the fountain water sparkling under the bright white light that lighted the outer porch making the place look more beautiful and enthralling than ever leaving Zuriel fascinated. She fixed her eyes on while battling to rid herself of the image of the intimate position she shared with her husband which kept popping into her brain but with time her eye lids grew heavy until the sleep that had betrayed her and faded away the moment she saw Miles came back encroaching her and right there on the couch she was taken to dream land.
