"Captain we have a signal!" shouted one of the crewman from the back of the ship. "Set it aside we need to find a safe way to navigate through here." I shout back. Down on Earth, one of the founders of the CASS station (Corrupt Alien Searchers and Savers) tasked us with a big job. She wanted us to discover a new life form and find a way to communicate with that life form, so basically she wanted our station to come out on top and make history. The main planet that had detected high movement around and inside of the planet was #CB52399015. It was a planet outside of our solar system and we had just gotten signals from their. The weird thing is, it wasn't in the form of any known human languages, it was in music notes. So as we try to figure out how to decipher the messages, one of the crew members yelled out to me " Uhh Captain, you might wanna come see this." As I jogged over to him, what I saw left me in shock. For the split second I saw it, I was speechless. But then everything went black, jet black.I didn't have time to think about it anymore, I hear shouts of terror from around the ship like " What's happening?" and " Is everyone ok?". The the lights turn back on but not normally. They are blinking rapidly in red and like it was answering our calls of fright, a loud blaring voice shouted from the ceiling " Report to the nearest safety pod immediately! I repeat we are being attacked report to the nearest safety pod immediately!". That's how everything started. I ran as fast as I could to the nearest safety pod which happened to be the Captain's pod. As I entered the sound of the entire crew's footsteps pounded as the all ran for their lives towards pods. When I got in my pod, a soft soothing voice greeted me. It told me " Hello, you have entered the Captain's safety pod. We will take of in 5, 4, 3....." I turned towards the door that was closing. " No stop!" I screamed, but it was to late. The doors had shut, leaving somany terrified crew members alone on the attacked ship. I will never be able to explain the horror of the men and women left on that ship. Now as I am soaring through the empty space among the other pods that had taken off, I try to calm myself so I can direct the remaining crew where to go. Just as I start to doubt myself of being a horrible captain, I start to receive sound from the pods panel, it started as a crackle but then said "Hello, hello? Can any of you hear me, if so please respond." It sounded like it was Karl's voice, he was one of the head engineers on the ship. I stand up to investigate the pods control panel so I can respond to Karl. As I am examining the panel, I realize it is busted. Then I remember the training we had of a situation similar to mine, we had an emergency morse code panel connected to all of the other ships and it would show up on there sound system. We had all been trained to memorize morse code so I decided it was worth a try. "Here goes," I thought out loud as I started typing to them. I sent my message to them. If they read it correctly, it should've have said the my control panel I busted but I am safe, and that I will try to find a way to communicate better. I assumed they had read it correctly when someone responded with " Ok Tyler hang tight." that was my second in command, Jessica. While I am waiting, I decide to look around the pod to see what was in it. First, I look under the seats to find water jugs, nutrition bars, and a first aid kit. After that, I go over to a small cabinet in the corner of the room. When I open it, I am relieved to see an emergency PDA (personal data assistant). I log on to the tablet to see there is a recorded voice message from one of the pods. It was just a bundle of musical notes which is so worthle- wait that is the for of communication we were receiving on the ship before it was attacked! Then I start a meeting , hoping to see the face behind the messages we had been receiving for a few days. But I will forever regret doing that. As someone joins, I start to smile hoping to not look harmful. The sight of my dead crew members was gonna haunt me forever, my torn apart dead crew members. There was goo around them, it was glowing red like lava. I took mental note but didn't think much about it. When I can no longer bear the sight of the perished crew, I leave the meeting.I attempt, but fail at erasing the horrendous sight from my mind. Hopefully the living crew members have found their PDA and have sent me a message. I check and about 4 people have messaged me, so I message them back and brace for what I have to tell them. I start a meeting when i'm ready to tell them. As all of the others log on I relax a little, being able to see their faces soothed me. All of them all looked relieved to see that the remaining crew were ok. I observe all of their screens and see that Alice and Carlos, 2 of our scientists, were in the same pod and must've left together. "Hi everybody, good to see you all," I say starting to bring up the horrible news, and I tell them everything that I saw. "Oh no, that's horrible!" Alice exclaims as everyone else starts too say stuff to. "Umm guys, do you know what that means?" Carlos asks everyone and the crew shakes their heads questioningly, "It means that the aliens we are studying and trying to come in contact with, might be very hostile." That's when a horrible thought struck me, we could be in serious danger. I say "Ok, that means whatever we do we can't go back to that ship, or we might be the ones dead."
