"Earth to Li" my cousin called out bringing me back to reality

"Huh" I said still looking into space

"I said do you wanna go to B&M market" she repeated herself I nodded yes. She got out of her bed and made her way to the her dresser to grab her purse that was hanging on her mirror "tryna smoke" she said shaking her purse

"Hell yeah nigga" she smiled and grabbed the bag of weed and woods out then made her way back to the bed "where we smoking?" I asked

She looked at me and then back to the wood she was rolling "here" she said I burst out laughing

"Shid I ain't about to get beat" I said referring to her mama because she don't play that smoking in door shit.

"Pipe down my mama in Texas won't be back till tomorrow night my auntie keeping an eye out on me she check in from time to time and she don't care if we smoke" she shrugged then sparked the wood

My name is Royal and my middle name is Li it's my father's mother name but spelled different my dad started calling me Li because he says I remind him of his mother who had died when he was 13.

She pulled the wood twice then passed it to me I pulled it a couple of times and passed it back, we did this for a few minutes and she put the tail out "aight you ready" I said because she didn't have a car yet she nodded and we walked out her room to downstairs then the front door and I pushed started my all white 2018 Range Rover and we climbed in.

We sung along the lyrics laughing. After the song went off Armani turn the music down "when Ravel coming back?" She asked

"In three months" I said

Rahvell (Ra-Vell) is my big brother by eight years he got caught up in the drug business and he killed two police officers so my dad sent him away and my mom who is a lawyer is tryna clean it up so he can come home. Nobody and I mean nobody know what he did our family and I had made up a story saying he went away to college out of town.

"That's my demon jit" Armani said shaking her head smiling I nodded my head with her as I was pulling into the parking lot, I parked my car and we made our way up outta the car I locked the doors behind us and we began to order

"Hol up let me call my daddy" I said picking up my phone and dailing his number Armani begin to order he picked up the second ring "yeah I'm at B&M market you want anything?" I asked he proceeded with his order "anything else.... aight love you" I said before hang up and walking up to the cash register and went on with our order.

We sat and waited on our food for about ten minutes after they called our names we grabbed our bags and left out climbing back in to my car.

I dropped Armani off "see you later" she said leaning over to my side of the car and hugged me and gave me a peak on the cheek "love you and be safe" she said hopping out

"Safes get crack jit" I said chuckling she playful rolled her eyes shutting the door I watched as she made her way into the house then I drove off and made my way home.

"DADDY IM HOME!" I yelled going into the kitchen he slammed the refrigerator door

"Dammit gyal while so loud"  he said in his strong Jamaican accent

My mom is Mexican and Black and my dad is Jamaican. Weird combination right.

"Sorry thought you were in the living room" I said smiling he shook his head

"Give me my damn food" holding his hand out I went in to the bag and grabbed it out he looked in the container "lwitte gyal I asked fa trees fried yelo plantains" I peeked over the counter to see how much he really had and he showed me

"I did tell them three here you can have one of mine" I said grabbing my fork and taking one out for him

"But yew got tree" he chuckled and left out

"They probably mistakenly put a extra one in mine" I said to him

"Yeah okay" he said going into his office I sigh and grabbed the bag and made my way up to my room.
