Chapter 15: Practice Is Over

Zed: You're so simple. That's why you'll never fit in with us.

C: Newsflash asshole! I've been leading this little group for about eight years now! If anything that means you don't fit in anymore!

Zed: Regardless, once I erase you. The Multiverse will be perfect.

C: I'm not going to just let you kill me! Not after you killed so many others!

Zed: Don't act like they died to save you. Other than that water boy. He was very adamant on stopping me for you. Well you and his mother after I turned her heart to stone.

C: Enough talking!

I dash forward and swing at Zed, but he catches it.

Zed: I wasn't done talking, but we'll continue if you're so insistent on dying.

I free my hand and try to hit him, but he blocks all my hits. I kick him in the shin and then drive my fist into his gut making him double over. He slides back and then straightens up.

Zed: Glad to see you've gotten bett-!

He gets cut off by himself involuntary spitting up blood. He wipes it off and looks at it with a smirk.

Zed: You managed to cause major internal bleeding in a single punch. I'd be impressed if.

Zed puts a hand on his midsection and suddenly he's perfectly fine.

C: Yeah well there's more to come.

Zed: I do hope so.

I dash in, but he raises a wall in front of me. I stop, but then the wall becomes a hand that tries to grab me. I dodge back, but Zed then stabs me in the back with something. He pushes me forward pulling whatever he stabbed me out of right side of my chest. The hand firmly grasps me and Zed removes my jacket. He floats in front of me and uses my jacket to wipe off my blood from a dagger like weapon that has three blades that circle each other.

C: Did you just stab me with a tri dagger? That's illegal!

Zed: When have you cared about legalities?

C: Fuck off. Damn that shit hurts.

Zed: Riveting.

The hand begins to crush me and I try my best to push back, but I'm actually losing a lot of blood from my gaping chest wound. I feel my arms start to go numb as I try to hold him back.

C: I...can't die here! I refuse to let everyone's deaths be for nothing!

Zed: You're compliance isn't really a factor.

I don't have a choice even if it kills me I have to take him down! I activate my soul and it lets me break through the hand's insane grasp. I then rush Zed and punch him in the chest. His eyes widen as I continue to push my fist against him. My fist goes into his chest and then comes out of his back.

Zed: Impossible! This is utter nonsense!

C: NONSENSE OR NOT, I'LL SEE YOU IN HELL!

Zed's body cracks and glows before exploding into dust that spreads out in a massive explosion. I fall to a knee and catch my breath before standing back up and opening a portal. I step through and see everyone of my adopted family sitting in the living room with somber looks. They look over and see me standing there. They all jump up and rush me. They pull me into one massive group hug and I'm just confused.

C: Wait. Stop!

They all pull away.

C: What happened?
