Hey everyone! The original story is Shannon Messenger's, and the characters in this story are not mine. For those who have published fanfiction, can you please comment if this is okay or if I should stop writing and get permission somewhere. So please comment on what you want on this story, and I will try to make everyone happy! (Except Fitzphie shippers, because SoKeefe rules, but that is nothing personal.) 😊 Also, this is my first story, so bear with me!

Sophie woke up to giggles and splashes of water. She inwardly sighed when she remembered that today was the Celestial Festival.

She had agreed to go shopping and let Biana dress her up, but now she closed her eyes tight, hoping for some more sleep. She didn't get very much these days. She groaned loudly when Linh splashed her in the face, shoving the covers down to show she was awake. "I'm getting up." She grumbled, noticing too late she was wearing the sparkly pink nightgown Biana had given her.

"You wore it!" Biana squealed. Sophie blushed and ran to the closet, finding all of her softest gowns in a pile. "This is what you can chose from." Sophie plopped the dresses on the bed and pointed to them.

Linh gasped, "Sophie Foster? Owning a gown?" she fainted unto Sophie's canopy bed, bursting into giggles. Then she and Biana started going through the dresses 'ooh' ing and 'eww'ing as they pleased.

Sophie decided she wanted the day to be over with, and grabbed a gray nightgown to change into. She sprinted to her bathroom, slipping under colored streams of water that flowed over her body. Sophie let out a sigh when she heard the door open. She peeked her head out to see a hand loosely holding a dress.

Sophie wrapped herself in a towel and used telekinesis to make the dress float over to her.  "Unbelievable." She complained as she put it on, because it was as she suspected. The ice blue dress had as many ruffles as possible. Actually, it had more. Sophie managed to trip twice on the way to her mirror.  When she saw herself, the color reminded her of Keefe, and she remember when he had woken up.

           Flashback to Keefe's awakening:

She had been at the Healing center for two days, when Keefe began to stir. It took him two hours, but he woke up and looked at her. "Sophie?" Keefe smirked and sat up, then winced. "You just couldn't stay away could you, Foster?"  Her eyes had blurred over and she had tackle-hugged him, reminding herself to late that he still needed to cover.

Keefe laughed and hugged her back, something she had missed a lot since he had ended knocked out for two weeks. "Do you need me to get Elwin?" Sophie questioned, scrambling to Elwin's office.

Keefe sighed, "How mad are you at me?" Sophie noticed that he stalled her getting Elwin, but answered because of the shame and grief in his eyes.

Sophie fussed with a lose string on his cot as she sat down next to him. "I don't know." She admitted. "I... I am glad we got Tam back and what happened wasn't as bad as I was imagining. And we got rid of a backstabbing dwarf king."

Keefe urged her on, "But ?"

Sophie sighed. "But it was really dangerous, and you could have died." Her tone dropped down, afraid that if she spoke to loud, her fear might come true.

It was Keefe's turn to sigh then. "Do you know what made me come?" Sophie shook her head. "I wanted to make sure you didn't." Keefe looked into her eyes and it was way harder to come up with a response that it should have been.

"Hate to break the moment," Ro said, making them jump and pull apart, "But Hunkyhair needs the physician, so..."

Sophie nodded and ran to get Elwin.

Back to Time:

Sophie walked out of her bathroom, and winced at the headache increasing pitch of Linh's screech. "You look so good!" Biana shouted, practically shoving Sophie unto the bed. "First things first." Biana declared, "Your hair!"

And so, Sophie endured what felt like hours, but was probably only half of an hour, of makeup and hair priming. Linh took Sophie's hand and guided her toward Vertina.

Vertina's small pace popped into the corner of the mirror, gawking when she saw Sophie. "What happened to you?" Vertina's voice was snark free for once. "And who did it? We both know someone had to force you to wear sparkles." Linh cracked up at that, and Biana stepped forward.

Biana asked, "What do you think?" Vertina scanned Sophie. "Well, she looks kinda normal, until you look at her eyes." Sophie growled. "Hey! She looks great!" Linh defended. Though if Linh was defending Biana or her, Sophie would never know.

Biana countered, "What would you do differently?"

Then Biana and Vertina spent another half hour trading makeup techniques. By the time Sophie had checked the clock, they were behind schedule.

"Come ooooooon, Biana! We're late!" Sophie shouted as she moved down the staircase. Not that Sophie was excited to shop or anything.  She slouched to the leapmaster, and yelled, "Atlantis!" A tiny crystal swooped down, and hit a ray of light, making a path.

I don't know if the leapmaster is above or below Sophie's room at Havenfield, but if you know, please comment!

Sophie jumped, falling through the middle of the whirlpool and into Atlantis. She sat of the fountain of her, Linh and Keefe, staring at the Keefe figure.

The fountain had a weary smile that she didn't see ofter, but she liked any smile that wasn't a smirk on Keefe's face. She sat like that until she heard footsteps, and jumped up, dusting her dress and turning around.

Keefe smirked, "If you wanted to stare at me, Foster, you could have just asked." He started dancing his way toward her. "You know I-" The rest of his sentence was cut off by her strangle hugging him.

Keefe hugged her back, and placed his chin on her head. Sophie scolded herself when she felt her eyes prick, but Keefe noticed. Empaths.

"Hey, are you okay?" Keefe asked, hugging tighter when she didn't respond. They stood like that for a minute, but then she pulled apart and whispered, "Sorry."

Keefe shook his head. "You don't have to be sorry, Foster."

This time, Sophie shook her head, but spoke before they could get deeper into that. "What are you doing here? I thought you went off to shop with the boys."

Keefe smirked again, "Well, I was to awesome for them, so I took a break to let them regain self-control." He insisted when Sophie rolled her eyes. "No, it's true."

"Sure it is." Sophie's sarcastic tone sounded rough even to her.

Keefe frowned, "Okay seriously, what's wrong?"

"I guess I just don't like being in make up. " She sighed when Keefe raised an eyebrow. "I'll tell you later."

"Well since you dropped that, I think I get to tell you that you look great and not have you throw it away." Sophie offered a tiny smile, and hugged him again.

They broke up at a rough cough.

Sorry! I don't really have a better ending and this chapter is pretty long already. But if you have things you want in the story, please comment!
