~ Amalfi Coast, Italy ~

The rough pavement leaves a tingling sensation under her feet as she rushes to find the best view. Being in Italy on vacation with her family she always promised herself to watch at least one sunset. The girl always found peace in this wonderous sight, a feeling of relief as she makes it through another day, the sun's final present to her success.

As her legs repeat the same motions over and over,  propelling her closer to the comfort that awaits her, she feels the adrenaline flooding through her veins like little tingles dancing through her body, a feeling she had never experienced to such an extreme. She for once in her life finds the presence of her lungs as then inhale and exhale to the same rhythm of the tide that calls out to her from ahead.

She weaves through lively locals, a clear contrast in their personalities compared to hers, all of them having found their sun whilst she is still searching for hers.

Finally she breaks through the bustling folks and into a world of peace and serenity, although she is not the only one hunting for this warm sensation. In the distance she finds a figure, running in her direction, towards the sunset as she catches her breath. He is donned in a loose fitting white button up shirt, his tan complexion peaking through the gap where the top few buttons have not met. The soft breeze glides through his tousled brunette locks, a tingling shoots through her fingertips has she imagines the softness that would come from running her hands through it.

As he approaches her with haste she feels butterflies erupt from her chest, the most feeling she's ever felt in her body, like she's been submerged into a pool of gold, she feels warm and intrigued by this handsome stranger.

Panic arises within her mind as she snaps out of the trance she was put under, realizing her that she had been staring at the boy with ivory green eyes. What if he thinks I'm creepy? What if he thinks I'm weird? Gosh he definitely noticed my staring.

She grips onto the metal barrier that separates her from the crystal clear ocean, reflecting the pink and orange sunset. In her peripheral she notices the boy slow his pace up until he is less than a meter away from her before coming to a stop.

Please don't bring up me staring. Please don't talk to me... but I want you to talk to me. I want to get to know you, I want to know the story behind your mysterious eyes.

"Beautiful isn't it" a deep husky voice whispers from beside her, making her shoulders tense and a rush of tingles erupt through her whole body. A British accent complements his small comment and intensifies the deep tone of his voice which rumbles throughout her petite frame.

"I don't think I could ever forget this" she whispers back at the same volume he gave, not wanting to ruin this peaceful world they've surrounded themselves in.

"I feel like i've walked into this world where all my worries are gone and everything is just...warm" she looks at him for the first time since he's been this close to her, meeting his forest green eyes, they glisten with hope, curiosity and a small hint of sadness. She becomes locked in his gaze, the sunset reflecting off of him.

"You're so intriguing, there's something about you're presence that just captivates me" he whispers ever so softly, the corners of his lips lifting up into a soft smile, she feels a sense of familiarity in it, a feeling of home, like she is safe.

This feeling is something she has never felt before, she doesn't know how to take it. This feeling of belonging scares her and she can't help but feel like it won't last forever, after all the only thing she is successful at is destroying anything good in this world. Her heart rate picks up as the fear sets in, she shakily lifts her hands off of the barrier and prepares to leave the beautiful stranger, wanting to protect him from her rough destruction.

Before she can take a step a soft, yet strong hand grips her wrist, not forcing her back but preventing her from take a step further.

"No, no, please don't leave. I didn't mean to sound creepy. Damn it, i've gone to far haven't I?" he lets go of her wrist and runs his hand through his hair, pacing back and forth mumbling apologies. Wanting to ease his stress she gently places her hand on his broad shoulder, halting his panicked movements.

"No it's okay, I-i just i-i don't get along with many people and i didn't want to waste your time. I'm sorry" she turns again to walk away but the same gentle grip keeps her in her place.

"Please don't leave, I can feel you take control of who i am and all i've ever known. I don't want to be alone, please" she sees the hope glistening in his eyes as the butterflies return to her stomach, although being in his presence, they never truly left. She replies with a soft nod and takes a step closer to him. His face brightens as a grin breaks out onto his face, making her stomach flutter and her heart swoon from the dimples that have been revealed.

"Come, let's walk" he nods his head in the direction to his right and slides his hand from her wrist down to her hand, intertwining their fingers into a perfect fit, as if they were created to be held by the other.

She follows his lead as he guides her back through the narrow pathways and in-between all of the people in them, lively as ever. He keeps up a simple conversation after a small introduction. She feels a warmth surrounding the both of them as they walk in their own little world. There was something so comforting in his aura that made her feel so alive, she never wanted to be separated from him but she knew that this dream would have to come to an end.

"Well here's me, thank you for the wonderful evening and walking me home" she says softly, a happy smile glued to her face since the moment they first started walked, the brightest smile she's ever shown.

"Thank you for staying with me, I'll see you soon" he replies with a small hint of mischief laced behind his words.

"You will?" she questions with confusion clouding her mind. He wants to see me again? I haven't made him want to run away from me? Happiness consumes her body as she takes in this small victory.

"You won't be able to get rid of me so easily, Golden Girl" he gives her one of his brightest smiles, the cute dimples making their return and just makes her break into an equally goofy smile.

"Golden Girl?" she giggles, raising a brow. This small token of laughter makes his eyes light up with joy.

"Mhm, fits you perfectly don't you think? After all, you're so golden" he winks before turning and leaving her in her thoughts, a slight pep in his step as he leaves her sight.

She turns and walks into her temporary accommodation, closing the door behind her and sliding her down to the ground with her back against it, a grin glued to her usually emotionless face.

"You're so Golden"
