The sun peered into Marinette's trap door that she had left open for the beautiful night. The Goddess stirred in the bed, the sheets wrapped around her as snow-white feathers decorated the bed. Her plain raven hair was thrown across the pink sheets as she refused to wake up, the sun shined in her eyes and she slowly fluttered them open. Her wings stretched and flapped as she tried to block the sun's light. She groaned as her alarm clock sound came on, with a flick of her wrist the sound turned off. Marinette lifted her fragile body out of bed, the sheets were tossed off to reveal long delicate snow-white wings. Looking around she noted that once again her universal power had been awakened by the night and that her celestial god form was trying to activate again. Sighing she picked up her feathers and hopped out of bed, her celestial wings dragging behind her.

"Marinette! Are you up yet? You're going to miss your first day back to school!" Marinette looked over to the attic door and softly smiled. "Yes!" she shouted and went back to tossing her feathers away, looking around the room she could only remember the day she left the Heavens and took rest on Earth. She had been exploring the streets when she came upon the Dupain-Cheng bakery, curious to what Earth food tasted like she entered the bakery. There she met Tom and Sabine, the couple looked shocked when Marinette paid with a heavy amount of cash that looked like she had stashed away. Marinette had to say though the pastries were delicious, who knew humans were able to create such delicious things? She would surely have to buy some before heading back to the Heavens with Nooroo and Dussu.

When she was about to leave she was stopped by the couple, worry and confusion written on their faces. They noticed she wasn't from Paris as she had a strange accent, a mixture of French and Chinese. The Guardians did try to teach Marinette some other new languages that were coming into existence but she never really got around to the other languages. Marinette tried to get them to believe that she was from around here but the old married couple was too smart, so they offered her their attic, Marinette refused trying not to get involved with the humans, but Tom and Sabine had insisted and for once Marinette took their offer after all the attic looked big enough for her celestial magic to hide.

So she stayed with the Dupain-Chengs for a few years and when the Mayor was elected last year the taxes went up. Marinette had created a few bucks and had maybe...just maybe snuck it into their bank account without them knowing. Though she surely was pissed at the Mayor for raising the taxes so high, why did humans believe money was more superior than their own lives? She has seen many and killed many people who had tried to sell the miraculous's, all for what? A tiny piece of paper with a number on it.

But Marinette was not on Earth to fix the humans and their impurity, she was only there to get Nooroo and Dussu along with all of the Miraculous's back. But she had to admit pretending and living among the humans was fun. Going to school was strange, reading the history they wrote was sickening, the history books were filled with lies and she knew it but no one else did. Also, it was strange going to school with a bunch of people who want nothing to do with you. Her classmates wanted nothing to do with the new girl, all of them ignored her and so she ignored them, or well-tried to but one student had approached Marinette one day.

Nino Lahiffe was a kind soul she could tell from the start. He had asked her if she wanted to go have lunch with him and honestly she was so moved by the human's bravery she became his friend. Nino was an interesting person, he introduced her music and it amazed Marinette how humans could create such beautiful things.

Marinette could see people's true souls, her class was full of pure souls. Well all but one, Chloe Bourgeois made it her priority to what was the word humans used for harming? Bullying? Yes, that was the word they used these days. She had begun bullying Marinette and for some reason, Marinette didn't know why but her soul was black and broken, it didn't hurt Marinette as she knew Chloe was just a brat seeking attention, but Marinette could not stand by as she hurt others.
