her. She's been dealing with something lately, but she won't tell any of us what it's about."

"They had to put her on pills."

"What?" Gerard gave Mikey the most puzzled and worried look I've ever seen.

"She told me the day Dan came. She wouldn't tell me why though." Gerard looked down at his food

and seemed to go off in his own world.

"Gerard?" He looked up at me like he forgot I was here. "Have you tried talking to her?"

"I tried talking to her when she started hiding out in her room two days ago. I went to talk to her

yesterday, but she was asleep." I swallowed hard and Dan and I looked at each other, not sure what to do.

Mikey suddenly got up from his seat and just stood there, staring at me. I eventually got the hint

when I saw his jaw tighten. "Dan, you wanna come with me?"

He nodded. "Okay." Gerard stood up and let Dan out, he stood a few seconds longer so Dan wouldn't

freak about him 'sitting on Phil' like he did two days ago.

Gerard and I shared a glance before Dan and I headed out of the cafeteria. "What do you think's

wrong with her?" I looked over at Dan to see that he was really worried, more worried than Gerard looked or I felt.

"I have no idea." I kind of whispered to him and the worried look on his face worsened. "What do

you think it is, Dan?"

"I hoping it's not suicide." He whispered back to me and I stopped in my tracks. He stopped when he

noticed I did and I waited a few seconds before speaking. "What?"

"What…. What if it is? What if she already-" I stopped talking when I saw that we now had the same

look on our face and as if we somehow silently agreed upon it, we both bolted down the hallway.

"Jamie!!" Dan and I banged on her door when we found it was locked. "Jamie!!"

"Jamie open up!!" I looked over at Dan to see that he was close to tears, then it hit me why.

He wouldn't be able to handle losing another friend.

I went to start pounding on the door again when the door suddenly swung open and a very sleepy

Jamie stood there.

"What are you doing?" She asked with a very irritated tone in her voice. She scratch the back of her

head and I noticed that her green dye was fading when the sunlight from her window shone through her massive bed head.

"You're- You're talking?" Dan was slightly panting from pounding on her door so much. Her

confused, tired, and irritated look changed to an unreadable one before she looked at me and gave me a 'Seriously?' look.

"Mikey said you won't even look at him. And you're not talking or… or responding to him in

anyway." I stuttered a little when she moved to walk back into her room because I thought she was going to slam the door in my face.

"Jamie?" Dan took a step into the room, but he didn't advance any further in. I swallowed hard before

I pushed him in so I could close the door behind us.

Jamie closed her curtains and curled up under her covers again, but she laid on her side so we could
