Orbisomn (Dreams Cannot Be Real)

Chapter 11

"Hello? Mister? What happened?"  The person from the other line asked.

"L-Lucy?" Friela's eyes widened.

"S-she's gone?" Yui whispered.

"W-what happened to her? What's the meaning of this?" Canum asked, his hands are shaking. He accidentally dropped his phone on the ground while the line is still on-going.

They tried to dig the spot where Lucy disappeared, but there is nothing. There is no trace of Lucy, and all of them were shocked about what had just happened.

Vaness on the other hand didn't know what to say. The heat that they felt a while ago was gone after Lucy disappeared. The four of them didn't know what to do.

"D-did she die? Is she d-dead?" Friela asked while her hands are shaking.

"No! I don't believe she's dead." Yui shouted.

"Yes. She won't disappear and be dead just like that!" Canum said as well.

"W-what are we going to do?" Vaness finally asked. Her palms and her face was full of sweat because of fear and confusion.

All of them stood there with no idea. None of them knew what is the right thing to do. Silence kept them all intact. The breeze of the air became stronger as the dusk finally approached.

"W-why don't we go in a room or an indoor place, first?" Friela suggested.

"Yes. I think so, too. It's getting colder." Vaness agreed.

"How about Lucy? We're not gonna find her?" Yui asked.

"Let's try to search this hill first for a few minutes before going down, shall we?" Canum asked. All of them agreed.

"It's getting dark, ready your phone for a flashlight." Vaness said. They nodded.

After a few discussion, they decided to split into two groups. First group was Vaness and Friela while the second group was Canum and Yui.

"Me and Friela will go here at the left, you two go at the right. Is it clear?" Vaness instructed.

"All right." Canum and Yui answered in unison.

Their cries can be heard from a distant.

"Lucy!"

"Lucy!"

"Can you hear us?! Where are you?"

"Please answer us, Lucy!"

"Lucy!"

After 30 minutes of searching, the sun really went down, and no trace of Lucy was found. The four of them met at their picnic area.

"Any news?" Yui asked while panting.

"She's not here, how about on your side?" Friela replied. Canum shook his head.

"Lucy we have pizza. Can you hear us?!" Canum shouted for the last time. Only the sound of the crickets can be heard.

"She really disappeared just like that?" Yui asked them.

The air becomes more and more powerful. The city lights can now be seen from the top of the hill.

"This view is beautiful, but not now." Vaness whispered.

"Let's get our things and go somewhere else to discuss this matter." Canum decided to pack their things.

They got their own cars parked at the bottom of the hill.

"Let's discuss this at my house." Friela suggested.
