She was late. She was never late. Normally she was early, but her alarm had failed to go off, and she was running late for her first day of her new job. Being late had put her in a bad mood. Normally she was a cheerful person, but due to running late on her first day had put her in a bad mood. She quickly popped into a coffee shop to get something to help her wake up, and help her during the day at work. She waited patiently in line, got her drink, but as she turned around a guy knocked into her, sending her drink flying.

"Oh, you have got to be kidding me" she snapped

"I'm so sorry" said the bloke who had barged into her, "let me get you another. What was it again?"

"A latte" she snapped

Whilst he went to order, Caitlin looked him up and down. He is handsome she thought, but I haven't got time for blokes.

"Here you are" he said handing it to her, "I'm really sorry, I was running late for work, and I didn't see you"

"Well maybe you should wake up earlier" she snapped

"Ouch. That hurt. I said I'm sorry."

"I don't have time for this"

Caitlin was leaving as he approached her again.

"What do you want?"

"Look, I said I'm sorry. Are we ok?"

"Fine. Can I go now?"

"I'm Barry" he said, holding out his hand. "And you are?"

"Late for work" Caitlin said, as she ran to her car. She got in and quickly changed her top. To her surprise, Barry was there by her car.

"What do you want?"

"To know your name"

"No"

"Why?"

"Because I don't give my name out to anyone. And seeing as I don't plan on seeing you again, I'm not telling you"

"Fine. I'll just call you latte"

"Please don't"

"Fine then. Tell me your name?"

"No"

"Ok. See you later latte" Barry winked, as he walked away.

Caitlin drove away angrily. How can someone I just met annoy me so much she thought? At least I won't have to see him again.
