《Adam's Song》Ashton Irwin

Chapter 2

"H-huh..?" Ashton stuttered. Was she, who he thought she was?

"Ashton.. Ashton Irwin?"

"Chyanne.." Ash snaps out of his mind.

Ashton and Chyanne have known eachother since they were in highschool. Chyanne invited him to her table because everyone thought he was the weird kid in the school. Chyanne was the one who introduced Adam to him.

They both shoot up and hug eachother tightly, not letting go. They were scared. Chyanne didn't want to lose another friend. Ashton didn't want to look into the eyes of the witness, after seeing what has just happened. They both start to shake.

"Why?!" Chyanne cries out.

"I'm fine Chy." He says choking up. "I'm okay."

"You always say that!" She says tears welling up her eyes," Ashton you were about to jump off a bridge! Tell me the truth!"

Ashton knows what she saw and he knew there was no excuse this time.

"I've gotten bad.. Since Adam.." Ashton said. He let out a sob and continued. "I just want to see him again."

Chyanne sighed deeply. "I know.. You just.." She lifts his chin off his knees. "You gotta stay strong okay? We all miss Adam, Ash.." Ashton took a deep breath. "I wish it was me instead of him.. Y'know?"

Chyanne could see the sadness in Ashton's eyes. He wasn't making up any excuses, he was actually in pain. Chyanne wanted to catch up with Ashton, her best friend for so long. But whnever she called, no one answered. She took out her phone and went through the contacts.

"W-what are you doing..?" Ash panicked. "Please don't put me in the hospital!"

"Ashton calm down," She whispered soothingly. "I'm not calling them." She brings the phone up to her ear. It rang 2 times before an employee picked up.

"Yeah, hi Christina.. Can you tell Dominik i'm not coming to work today?.. Huh? Oh family crisis, thanks bye." She takes the phone away from her ear and ends the call. Ashton looks at Chy confusingly, but yet very warmly. "What?"

"Family.." Ashton says wiping his face. "You see me as family?" Chyanne smiles at him.

"Well of course, your the closest friend i've ever had."

Ashton looks down with a smile on his face. He's thankful to have somebody like Chy.

nobody ever saw me that way before." And it's true, nobody ever bothered to be Ashton's friend besides Chy and Adam. So now, he only has Chy.

They both walk back to Chy's house to catch up on things. Ashton kept telling her to go to work because he feels terrible for being the reason she's not there right now, but of course she refused so he gave up.

Ashton went into Chyanne's house which was actually very clean. He suddenly noticed that he didn't bother to put his contacts in, he still had his glasses on and his hair was fairly messy, but the fringe to his bangs went perfectly across his face, And thank god he never took off his bracelets, he had scars underneath them.

Lots of them.
