"Je suis entourée d'enfants," I mutter in French. (I'm surrounded by children)

"D'accord. On pourrait penser que pour les gens qui ont sauvé le monde plusieurs fois, ils seraient plus mûrs avec la nourriture!" My papa answers in a louder voice than one I used. (Agreed. You'd think for people who have saved the world many times they would be more mature over food!)

"Excuse me. Very touching moment for you both, we clearly can't understand you. It makes me feel like you're talking about us."

"Maybe we are," I say mischievously. An equally mischievous smirk on my face.

"You stinker," Tony says as he ruffles my hair. I swat his hand away, as I smooth down the unruly hair.

"Everyone, to the kitchen! I'm hungry!" Sam exclaims.

"When are you not Wilson," my dad retorts.

"Don't start with me Barnes."

"What are you gonna do? Bore me to death with another old timey war story? Dude, you're like my grandpa!"

"Then I would tell you to respect your elders."

"Boys, no need for all this." Nat tries to settle down the bickering, but to no use.

"The sexual tension," Wanda whispers to me. I choke on a laugh, my saliva bringing me to a coughing fit.

"Alright. That's enough." Steve says in a assertive voice. My back straightens at the tone. On reflex, I wait for an order. Then I remember, I am not in HYDRA anymore.

My shoulders hunch. God, let that habit go away. So I join the rest in walking in to the kitchen.

Clint, Tony, and Sam have already made themselves a generous plate of food. "You gonna save some for us, boys?" I ask jokingly.

Clint freezes with a string of cheese dripping from his mouth, Tony with pizza sauce around his lips, and Sam who is... cutting his and eating it with a fork.

   Oh my lord.

"I might not be updated on everything in life, but I know that's not how you eat pizza." I inform Sam.

Bucky sees how he ate his. "Are you mentally okay?" He asks Sam.

"Better than you, Mr. I'm A Tough Guy!"

    "Really, again guys?"

"I'm just asking a question," Bucky says at the same time Sam says, "I was defending myself." With his hands raised in the air, before he continued eating.

I shook my head, as I made myself a plate. Adding two pieces of supreme on there.

When we all had our plates filled and ready, we headed back to the living room. 'Who eats in the dining room?'

"You know what sounds like a great idea?" We all look over at Wanda. "Picking on the poor excuse of a man, Rumlow."

At his name, my head instantly bows. My eyes going stony, now matching my face. The name of my handler. Former handler.

    That's not my life anymore.

My papa growls lowly at the slightest mention of the man who brought so much torment upon us both.

I rest my hand on his arm. It not only reassuring him, but me as well.

"That's a terrible idea!" Sam outbursts.

"For once, I agree with Sammy here." The father figure in my life says clearly.

"I'm just saying. Wouldn't you want to know why? Why he did the things he did? Because I personally want to know why HYRDA kidnapped me!" Wanda says in an almost shout.

"Calm down, love." Vision says gently.

"Don't call me that," she whispers.

"You've always found joy in the name," Vision insists.

"Well now I don't like it. People change. Their interests in people change." The rest of the Avengers stay silent through this discussion.

"Why don't we give you two a moment?" Steve says more of a statement than a question. We stand to leave but Wanda interrupts our movement.

"No. We don't need a moment. I'm sorry, Vision. But we are done. It's not you. Really, it isn't." With that she storms out of the room, leaving us all bewildered.

"What just happened?" Tony manages to question through the awkward tension. Vision stands for a second more before exiting the opposite way.

"I'll um, I'll go talk to her." Nat tells us as she goes to Wanda. Should I go with her? Before I question myself further, my body takes action. A few steps behind Natasha.

Author's Note: I know, sorry it's shorter than usual. I want to cut this in two. It's really weird and fast moving, but stick with me I promise!
