What I like about you

Ashley's P.O.V.

Today is the day today Joy is getting married I'm in my dress my hair and make up are done and I am working on Joy's hair while Allison is working on her make up and everyone else is at the wedding part we are in a tent like place like a million gazillion feet away.
"I'm so nervous" Joy commented once we were finished and gave her the Bouquet and I looked outside at my uncle.
"She is finished getting ready" I said to uncle dean and he nodded and I walked back in and the music started playing the flower girl went starting down the aisle then the boy who walked the ring down the aisle the 5Sauce boys were next to my dad as me and Allison walked one after the other and finally Joys started walking down the aisle with uncle Dean as the music was playing and once we got to the front and Joy was with my dad the music stopped and everyone else sat down and on went the wedding.
"Now I present you man and wife you may kiss the bride" the pastor said and they kissed and I looked away for a second and back because I did not want to see them kiss and we went to the 'after' party and I was sitting as Joy and my dad were having fun dancing and I was admiring them dancing and smiled at the true love between the two and I sighed.
"So step sister how are things between you and Ashton?" Calum asks me and I laughed and shook my head at him.
"We are really great friends" I said and when I said friends I sounded disappointed and Calum took notice too that.
"You want to be more than friends with him huh?" Calum asks me and I sighed and nodded.
"Yeah" I said and saw Luke and Allison dancing to the slow song together and I smiled at that.
"Well maybe that day is today good luck" Calum said and rushed off to talk to Michael and I was confused until Ashton walked up next to me and he held his hand out to me.
"May I take this dance?" Ashton asks me and I took his hand and he helped me up and took me to the dance floor and we danced for as long as we could as we talked.
"Ashley um never mind you two kids keep dancing" Joy's voice said and I smiled at her sincerely and she smiled back and went to find Calum instead I guess and me and Ashton continued dancing.
"Ashley I have a question for you" Ashton said and he seemed nervous to say it too.
"Yes Ashton?" I asked tilting my head to one side.
"Will you..." Ashton trailed off looking in front of him and he nodded.
"What is it Ashton?" I asked my hands going from behind his neck to on his chest and he sighed and shook his head and took me to the front and he walked on stage.
"Ashley Michelle Ward will you be my girlfriend?" Ashton said and I looked up quickly and my heart was pounding as I heard aw's from all around the room and everyone looking at me for an answer and tears we sorta in my eyes they were happy tears.
"Yes" I said with a huge grin breaking out over my face and he grinned as well jumping off the stage kissing me and I kissed back and we pulled away.
"Oh my gosh" Allison said rushing too me and we hugged each other.
"Well I'm proud of you bro"Luke said grinning at Ashton and I leaned into Ashton and he tightened his grip around me.
"I am too" Ashton said and I laughed and rolled my eyes and we walked back to them table and I was looking down at my feet and Ashton must of noticed.
"Hey you okay?" Ashton asks me and I sighed.
"Is anyone really okay Ashton?" I asked him and he sighed.
"I guess not what's up?" Ashton asks me and I shrugged.
"I don't wanna talk about it here" I said and he smiled when we get back to the flat we will talk about it" Ashton said and I nodded and a hand went on my shoulder and I noticed it was Calum's hand.
"Ashley can I talk to you?" Calum asks me and I nodded and stood up from my seat and we stepped away from the area and had a chat.
"So how do you like being in Australia?" Calum asks me and I smiled.
"I like it pretty good here but that doesn't mean I wanna stay here either" I said shrugging and he laughed.
"Well I was hoping you'd say that Ashton or the lads don't know this yet only me but you and Allison are aloud to come on tour with us for the entire tour and I really want y'all to come" Calum says and I smiled at him.
"Really you really want me to come with on tour?" I asked him and he nodded and I hugged him immediately and he hugged me back.
"Good cause I was dreading the day you boys go on tour it Joy and my dad approve of me going?" I asked and he nodded and smiled at me as we pulled away from the hug.
"Let's go Ashton probably wants to have time with you" Calum teased me and I stuck my tongue out at him and we walked back to the area and there Ashton was waiting for me to be back in his arms and once I was in reach of him I was wrapped in a hug by him and I rested my head on his chest closing my eyes for a short amount of time.
"Ashley if you want to catch the bouquet you best come on she is about to throw it" Allison warned me and I shook my head.
"No thanks no myth tells me if I am the next to get married or not I like to take my time with stuff like that" I said shrugging and she pouted and walked off and Joy threw the bouquet and a girl had caught it she look quite young she is a family on Calum's moms side.
"You really don't care bout stuff like that?" Ashton asks me and I shook my head.
"No because it's just a myth if I were too get married I'd want it too be romantic and a way no guy has ever thought of proposing to his girl you know I ain't gonna be told if I'm gonna get married next or not because I want that to be a surprise" I said and he chuckled and kissed me and I kissed back.
"Well let's go to the flat" Ashton said thirty minutes later and we drove home and I changed into some sweats in my bathroom so I didn't have to change in front of Ashton or kick him out of my room.
"Hey what was up earlier? You seemed sad" Ashton cooed as I laid down next to him.
"I'm sorry I guess I was just thinking back to when I was little the first wedding I ever attended to" I said and he smiled at me sadly.
"Lemme guess fun memories with your cousin?" Ashton asks me and I nodded hiding my face in his chest as we were on our sides.
"I hope you two aren't doing any funny business in there" my dad said through the door they were getting ready to goon their honeymoon.
"There aren't sir" Ashton said and my dad left with Joy to go to Paris, France the city of love.
"Ashton I want to forget a lot of things from my past that I will never be able to forget and there are some things in my past that I want to change but I can't because it's difficult to change" I said sadly.
"Why do you want to change and forget that stuff?" Ashton asks.
"Because I am not proud of some of the things I have done in the past" I said with tears in my eyes as my face was away from his chest.
"Like what?" Ashton asks.
"Like for one I wished I could take what I said to my mom back I wished I could take my pranks back I wished I could take my sadness away" I said the last part in a whisper hoping he wouldn't hear it but he did and he sighed and put his fingers under my chin lifting it up so my eyes could meet his.
"Love try to be happy that's all your cousin would want and he'd also want you to move on and not forget but just move on from the past can you please at least try to do that not for me but for him?" Ashton asks me and I sighed.
"I'll try" I said smiling a bit and leaned in to kiss him and he leaned in a bit too and it was a short but sweet kiss and I stood up out of the bed.
"Come on let's go join the others" I said and he smiled and took my hand and we walked downstairs and sat on the love seat and the movie started and it was the last song a very sad movie and it got me crying at the end or well near the end.
"Why'd you all choose this movie!?" I asked exclaiming and they chuckled and my eyes grew dark I can tell because I'm ticked off.
"It's not funny dammit she lost her father while I lost my cousin I don't wanna hear anything about dying and I don't wanna watch another movie about dying cause death sucks losing a loved one sucks" I hissed standing up and stormed to my room still a bit too sensitive about my cousins death and Ashton chased after me.
"Babe wait up" Ashton says as he caught up to me and hugged me tightly as I cried in his chest.
"I'm sorry Ashton I don't mean to go off on you guys all the time I'm trying to stop and I'm trying to be happy it's just hard to lose someone you love with all of your heart and you become bitter hearted and that's not what I want to be" I mumbled and he pulled away slightly and kissed me and I smiled a bit in the kiss.
"Don't apologize people change people and deaths change people too you just gotta stay strong and remember that you can be anyone you want to be" Ashton muttered and I smiled up at him and kissed him again.
"I love you" I whispered to him looking up at him shyly and he grinned and kissed my cheek.
"I love you too" Ashton whispered back and I pulled out of his embrace and leaned against the wall.
"So when is our first date?" I asked him and he smiled and blushed
"Friday at seven I will pick you up and dress fancy" Ashton winked at me and I blushed and nodded.
"Okay" I mumbled and turned and walked to my room. I turned to see Ashton still standing there in the middle of the hall and I smiled and waved at him and disappeared into my room.
Ashton's P.O.V.

I watched as she disappeared into her bedroom and I smiled wishing it was Friday already and I walked downstairs and saw all eyes on me.
"Is she okay?" Calum asks and I nodded.
"Yeah she is still a bit sensitive just give her some time on some stuff just try harder to keep her mind away from her cousin" I mumbled and the lads knew what was up without me tell them.
