This is the remake version of

"A Lost Soul - A Cuphead And Mugman Story"

I hope you enjoy it, And I hope it's better. As always go check out my secondary profile "Kryptic-X" There's some stories there.

I do not own Cuphead and don't intend to steal it. I'm just a person looking to write a good fanfiction

Also, BTW. I start off first chapters as kinda short cause it takes me a bit to warm up to the plot and stuff. Next chapter will be longer!

Both brothers were casually chatting the day away. Expressions ranged from excitement, fear, guilt, anger, and much much more. Every question that was asked seemed to spark the young Mugs curiosity.

"What do you mean by the Devil's body was never found?" The Mug questioned after his brother waved his hand. Cuphead looked toward him with a grin.

"Indeed it wasn't. I'm afraid they are still loose. We better be on our best guard"

As soon as Cuphead finished his sentence, Elder Kettle came rushing through the front door. Both brothers flung their heads in his direction.

"Boys!" The aged Kettle called

"Hi Elder Kettle" Mugman greeted with a smile while Cuphead waved profoundly. His face of happiness quickly dissipated and curled into a worried face at his guardian.

"What's up?" Cuphead asked, Now taking notice to his face. His guardian refused to speak as a wave of terror ran through him. He was shaking violently. His cane squeaking across the floor as his eyes snapped in every possible direction. Then he stopped. He stopped at the window...Outside lay something mysterious yet familiar.

The cup stood up and walked over to the window in which the Kettle was staring at. His mouth gaped open as he turned to Mugman.

"What!?" His brother asked. Cuphead's face then turned into a grin.

"Dice. Told you so."

Mugman rushed outside the door and over to the injured frame. His cautious face looking down at him. Hesitantly, He moved his hand forward.

"Get away!" The die spoke in complete silence. The mug flinched and backed away. Cuphead approached his side and glared at King Dice.

"Look who's weak now. I thought you were the great and powerful King Dice!" Cuphead sneered. The die slowly lifted his head up to look at Cuphead. Tears welling in his eyes as he shuffled slightly with stifled hisses of pain. Mugman looked to his brother with an empathetic face.

"Can he stay?" Mugman asked with puppy eyes.

"Don't give me that look! You know what he's done." He replied with a monotone voice.

It was rare that Mugman pleaded. He never did anything of the sort. To this, Cuphead sighed and reluctantly accepted.

"Fine, But if anything goes wrong. Out he goes!" He warned.

"I hope he's changed" Cuphead thought.

The die was now fully asleep. No one had known of his cause, Or why he was beaten up. All they knew was he needed to be treated IMMEDIATELY...Otherwise there would be dire consequences. Cuphead heaved his body up and marched inside with Mugman behind him. Together, They both lay him down while Elder Kettle studied him closely.
