The sun shone brightly over the vast landscape. The trees swayed slowly in the breeze. It was a perfect day for outdoor adventuring.
-
"Tommy! Come on we're gonna be late!" Tubbo yelled upstairs. It was currently 2pm, and the boys had planned to go to the forest to explore. Tommy of course, was late. He was most likely upstairs cramming stuff into his backpack last minute or something. Who knows?
"Coming Tubbo!" He shouted back. Sure enough, the thud of footsteps rushing downstairs got louder and louder. He walked into the lounge and smiled.
"Ready to go?" The brunette asked slinging his backpack onto his shoulders.
"You bet!"
The two best friends walked outside. Locking the door, Tubbo led the way down to the forest with Tommy right behind him. They walked in a comfortable silence, admiring the pretty flowers and other nature along the way. The forest was quiet and peaceful. Many animals could be heard from the inside, and the trees' leaves provided a shady canopy. The two continued to skip through the forest along with the sound of their boots crunching against the rocks and gravel.
The silence was interrupted by a faint buzzing of bees from a nearby hive.
"Bees!" Tubbo shouted and ran towards the source of the buzzing. Sure enough, there was a small hive of bees busy at work. He had always been fascinated by the insects, and they were always his favorite. He could write a whole essay on the tiny little bugs within less than an hour.
Tommy ran over to catch up with his friend. However, he was cautious and kept his distance.
"Tommy, look!" Tubbo said, laughing. The boy had a bee sitting on his nose, buzzing away.
"Just be careful Tubbo..!" He said back. Opposite to his friend, Tommy didn't really like bees. He thought they were just creepy crawlers.
"I will, don't worry!"
Tommy looked around and found a rock to sit on right by a small pond. He sat down and played with his sleeves on his shirt. Everything was fine until a small bee landed on his knee. The blonde swatted it off with his hand, but it circled back and landed again. He waved his hand at the insect again, but the bee refused to leave. Tommy went to stand up when all of a sudden he felt a sharp pain on his knee. He quickly sat back down and yelled, "Ow! You mother fuck--".
"What happened?" Tubbo yelled as he ran over to his friend.
"The little shit stung me!" Tommy whined as he held his knee.
"Well did you swat at it?"
"Well- yes.. but I had to get it off somehow!"
"You should never swat at a bee. They get angry and sting you!" Tubbo smiled. "C'mon, let's go home and get that treated"
-
Tubbo was practically carrying Tommy by the time they got home. Tommy wasn't able to walk without a limp because his knee had swelled up so badly. Once they got inside, he sat down on a chair and put his bag on the floor. Tubbo went to the drawer to get some ointment and a bandage. He then rubbed the ointment on Tommy's knee and wrapped it in the bandage.
"There. All better now!" Tubbo said happily.
"Thanks Tubbo." Tommy smiled at his best friend.
They spent the rest of the night lounging on the couch watching their favorite movies, talking, and just keeping each other company. Eventually, they dozed off on the couch together.
