The Untold Truth

CHAPTER 1 - SUMMER BREAK

I felt bored for the very first time of my summer break in my entire life. My dad was working because he had some unfinished stuff to deal with. Well, he is a sheriff, of course, he has many cases to solve. My sister was watching her favorite cartoon while on the other hand, my big brother was hanging out with his so-called ' BOMBASTIC BOYS' gang. Well, you will be asking where my mum is. Well, she is somewhere I don't know. Maybe, her friend's house where she has been staying for years? Well, that's what I thought but the truth has been revealed last year on my 16th birthday by my dad and my brother. Well, I have been ignoring them since last year because the lies they told me about my mum till I reached 16. Well, my mum died in a 'drunk and drive car accident' which had happened when I was at the age of 10. Well you see, my sister was 2 years old and my brother was 12. My dad said that they tried to find that drunken culprit but they failed to do so. After hearing the news of my mother's death I felt devastated but I managed to gulp the news and put it in my past.

I was dealing with my shoelace that was not cooperating with me and was falling from my freaking hands when I heard a sound from one of the bushes on the pavement in front of my house. First, I thought it was just an illusion but I peed my pants when the sound came again. I stood up from the staircase of my house where I was tying my shoelace and walked to the source of the sound coming from. When I neared the bushes a black stray cat jumped on me. I screamed because it made me scared. The stray which jumped on me ran as fast as it could because of the terrifying noise I made. I laughed nervously when I saw my next-door neighbor rushed out of his house and shook his head when he saw what had happened. 'I'm sorry Mr. Collins' I apologized to him with my head hung low. Mr. Collins just shook his head and went back to do his business. ' Well, that was fine. Right?'
