Third-person point of view —
Kenma pressed the record button on the tape recorder. Soon after, he spoke.
"16 October. I turned 17 today. The Nekoma team wished me happy birthday, and so did Karasuno. Kuroo gave me a new game to play as a birthday present, and I can't wait to play it. I just wished he would leave me alone so I could play the game, though. He's overbearing. I know he wants the best for me, but sometimes, I just want some time alone. I'm thinking of dying my roots, as a reward for being able to tolerate Kuroo for another day. Shoyo said he likes my hair the way it is, but I wonder if it's true or if it's just an attempt to make me feel good about myself. It's not like people will actually care about the way I look though. As long as my field of vision is narrowed down, I'm okay with my hair looking ugly. I think I'll end today's diary here. It's almost 10pm, and I want to play the game Kuroo gifted me. Goodnight," wished Kenma.
The cassette comes out of the tape recorder, and Kenma reaches his hand out to take it. Kenma then takes a permanent marker and writes on the cassette the following words- "16 October."
The cassette is then thrown in a box filled with cassettes. Each having a certain date and an extra information beside the date. The cassettes is Kenma's way of ranting. Unlike others, Kenma refuses to cry on somebody elses shoulder, so he shoulders his burdens and feelings all by himself. When Kenma found out about cassettes and tape recorders, Kenma started recording his thoughts and feelings on the cassettes, his only outlet.
Kenma goes on and starts to play the Kuroo gifted him. For now, everything will be alright.
