GAME OVER!

chapter one

the screen's blue glare shot off of the computer. the dark room was littered with trash, whether it be drink cans or fast food. clicking of a computer mouse could be heard in the distance. he was gaming, it seemed, on some sort of MMO. it was what he did best, to be honest. he also did it because he enjoyed playing games. his close friends also played the game that he did, and they usually formed a party. he enjoyed it quite a bit. whilst being lost in thought, an alert popped up on the corner of his screen. it was from philza. he double clicked on the alert. "hey techno! i was wondering if you wanted to play that event with me, wilbur, and tommy later today! if you want to come, please play your paladin. we dont have a tank character right now. :thumbsup: :smileyface:" techno sighed. "those boys always need my help.." he said to himself, chuckling. he responded to phil's message. "perhaps"

he logged onto his paladin character and teleported to the nearest town at the event where they agreed to meet up. the MMO had proximity voice chat, so when they got near eachother they could talk. he looked around the town, eradheim, for his friends. eradheim had quite a few high level players that were there for the event. technoblade spotted his friends and walked over. "hey blade!" tommy yelled out to him. wilbur rubbed a fist on tommy's head lightly. "stop that." techno smiled a little bit. his friends brought him joy. philza invited the three of them to his party. phil was a level 87 archangel, tommy was a level 84 thief, wilbur was a level 86 bard, and techno was a level 90 paladin. "damn techno, you really do grind your classes." wilbur said, chuckling. "yeah, you must spend a lot of time doing that!" tommy added to the conversation.

the four of them headed towards the cave. the event had just started, and since it had just started, only a couple people had already formed parties and headed to do the event. techno protected the party on the way to the cave. wolves, bears, and even some imps tried to attack them, but techno denied his friends to get hurt. they followed the dirt path towards the cave, and by the time they got there, an hour had passed. "alright, let's finish this event!" phil said. the four of them ran into the cave, without a care in the world. techno protected his team from getting hurt, philza attacked the monsters with magick, tommy was swift and attacked the monsters, and wilbur healed his party when they got low on HP with songs. by the time they were at the boss, they were all level 90. "those monsters are weak, but they sure do give off a lot of exp!" tommy says. "i wonder why." wilbur thought for a moment. techno opened the door to the boss and the group walked in together.

the boss looked at his party. "greetings, adventurers." it spoke. "if you slay me, i will transport you to another world. but if you fail, i will delete your progress thus far in the game." techno looked at the boss. could it really do that? of course not... it's just a game after all. techno drank potions his potions he had saved for the event and charged at the boss. hitting it with a flurry of attacks, the party assisted their tank. the boss chuckled. the four of them were thrown backwards in the boss's arena towards the wall, lowering their health by a lot. wilbur speedily played a healing song, and they were brought back up to yellow HP. techno charged towards the boss once again. he kept attacking until the boss was killed. it took two hours at least, and by the time they were done it was already 12:38 AM. they teleported back to the nearest town and said their goodbyes, logging out for the day.

techno turned off his pc and got in bed. that boss was just lying. they didn't get brought into a new world. he closed his eyes, and slowly drifted off to sleep...
