A Broken Bond [TDP]

Chapter 1: Reunion

Rayla was walking up to the Queens lair, if the queen asked for me it must be very important!! Rayla thought to herself, she noticed a sky winged elf up in the sky and called out " TARA!!!!! TARA!!!!!" The skywinged elf looked down on were she heard her name, Tara was only 18years old and she delivers mail, she had light gray skin with long white hair in a ponytail, and  her eyes were sunset yellow.
"OH HEY RAYLA!!!" Tara said waving at Rayla with a smile, " CAN I GET A LIFT UP TO THE QUEEN" Rayla shouted, " OF COURSE!!! HOLD ON!!!" Tara flew down and her back facing Rayla. Rayla hoped on and off they go, "thank you, Tara" "no problem".

Tara and Rayla made it to the top of the Storm Spire, they both walked in together to the Queen. " Your majesty" Rayla and Tara said at the same time.
"I'm glad you both made it, first Tara do have something?" Queen Zubeia asked the young skywinged elf that was bowing to her. "Oh yes I forgot, it's a letter from your son in Katollis, my Queen!" "Thank you, Tara can you give us some privacy?" Queen Zubeia said look at Tara again. "Of course!" And Tara left the lair with silence from her wings on her back. "You want to she me, my queen?" Rayla asked the Sky dragon in front of her.
"We all wanted to see you, Rayla" Ibis, Lujanne, and Skyla, a young but powerful startouch mage, Rayla looked at them all " What's going on?" Rayla asked the mages and the Queen. "Rayla we found them!" Ibis said smiling at her, Lujanne looked like she wanted to tell her, and Skyla was heading to a different room to get "them" . Rayla was so confused but when she saw Runaan and her parents she didn't hesitate, she ran and jumped into their arms crying. " Your back!!! ALL OF YOU!!!" Rayla said in her sobs . Her parents took a step back and looked at their little girl, who grew up without them for most of her life "Ethari is going to be so excited!!!" Rayla said smiling, " How about you all go to sleep I will send Kev to get Ethari, until then get some rest all of you!!" The Queen told the elves in front of her. Everyone bowed to the queen and left, but Rayla had to ask the queen a question without her parents and Runaan in the room.
"My Queen, do you know Prince Callum?" Rayla ask her queen, "I believe so..... he's the one that saved you from falling, correct?" The Queen has met a lot of humans and they all look the same to her, but one really stood out from the rest and that was Callum. "Well yes umm...he asked me to live with him back in Katolis and all, but I don't want to leave my position here at the Storm Spire. What should I do?" Rayla asked her Queen and there was silence for a minute until Zubia said this "What does your heart tell you?" Rayla was really confused of the question, "I really don't know want my heart tells me, I stopped listen after my very first mission that lead up everything to the Assassin's deaths and being ghosted from Silvergrove, then stopping the war.I just don't want to be a trader for all my life." Rayla said looking down and staring at her feet. "Do you hear yourself? Everything you did those past weeks, is you listen to yourself think and feel about a situation you got yourself in and out was all you. No one told you to not kill the guard, no one told you you had to save the egg, no one told you you have to fall in love with a human. No one told you what the right thing was you knew this entire time and look were you are now! You are a Xadia Protector and Katolis 2nd General! And no one told you that you had to grow up in 4weeks." Queen Zubia said to Rayla, who was now crying and hugging the queen. Queen Zubia was very wise to Rayla, who really needed to hear that from someone other than Callum. "Thank you" Rayla said looking up to the dragon, who is now crying and wiping the tears away.
"I think you need to tell them about Callum and you need to rest. I'll have Mark and Dragonguards on duties for you"  Zubia said. After all that Rayla waved bye to the Queen and high four Mark walking by her and Rayla can't stop thinking of the night she first met Callum and Ezran, saving the egg, and then ran into Runaan........Rayla have to ask him if that's how he felt or was he scaring her, so he can move on with the mission. A lot of thoughts came back to Rayla and she wishes that they will go away.
