It was like all the other nights in Washington Manor, outside the wind was howling, rain was beating on the Manor's purple roof, and the walls were creaking. Oh and Jenny's parents were arguing again. Every night they did this. Jenny had learned to block out the yelling and to fall asleep. But, one night as she was tightly holding the pillow over her head blocking out the yelling, it went silent.Jenny perked up out of bed and walked slowly and cautiously to her door. She stopped to listen and still, silence. So she crept down the creaky stairs into the living room to see why it went quiet. When she walked down the stairs she was surprised at what she saw. Nothing. Nothing at all. Her parents weren't there. Everything else was there except her parents. Jenny started yelling for her parents, but nothing still silence. After the yelling didn't work she started frantically searching every room in the house. She got to the third master bedroom, and under the purple sheets there were two round bumps. She slowly walked to the top of the bed, and peeled away the sheets with sweaty palms. What she saw terrified her. It was her parents' heads lying there. She let out a loud scream and ran to the phone downstairs. She made it downstairs, grabbed the phone, and dialed 911. She put the phone up to her ear and listened. Nothing... No ringing whatsoever. She thought the phone might have been unplugged so she bent down to check. The phone wasn't unplugged, someone had cut the wires. Just as she had seen the wire had been cut, she heard an evil and menacing laugh. She shakily looked around the house to see where the laughing was coming from, and when she saw nothing she bolted to the door. She got to the door, twisted the knob but it was locked; she couldn't unlock it either because the lock had been removed. She ran to the back door and the lock had been removed. She went to the side door and the lock was removed. Every door leading to outside had the lock removed. So she ran upstairs to her room as fast but as quietly as she possibly could. She slowly shut the door and locked it. She turned to go hide in her closet but out of the corner of her eye she saw a bump in her pink and blue sheets. She went to peel away the sheets to see what the little bump was, but this time she was hesitant, remembering what happened. She finished pulling back the sheets and to her horror she saw the severed head of their family dog Blue. Jenny held back her screams so she didn't alert who or whatever was in the house to her location. She slowly creeped over to her closet, and when she opened the creaky door she saw a terrifying man wearing a clown mask covered in blood. He held something behind his back, but Jenny couldn't tell what it was. For a moment he just stared at Jenny wearing a blood covering his brown and grey vest. He pulled his hands from out behind his back. He was holding a big, wooden handled, and blood covered knife. Jenny screamed and ran downstairs. She bust through the stained glass by the door and ran to her neighbors house. She got to the neighbors house and knocked on their tall wooden doors. No answer. She knocked again. Still no answer. Then Jenny looked into their window and saw about 10 people in the same exact clown masks the man in the suit was wearing. Jenny took off into the woods after and as she got to the edge, there he was the man with the knife. He grabbed her and brought her into the neighbors house. The man described the way he murdered Jenny's parents on the way there. He told Jenny how much he enjoyed doing it and that she would soon end up under someone's covers. The clown man took Jenny into the house and threw her into the middle of the circle of clowns she had seen before. They started walking around her chanting weird make believe words. Then they threw her in a pitch black room. Jenny was scared out of her mind until she heard familiar voices. Her neighbors! Mrs and Mr.Jones. They told her they had broken into their house, threw them in this room, and told them they would be dead soon. They all sat there thinking of ways to get out, until Jenny started walking and felt something on the floor. It was wet and slimy at the front but it felt like a human body. Jenny kept feeling around but she couldn't find a head. Then she felt another person but they seemed to have no head either. She didn't want to accept it, but those were her parents' bodies. She thought to herself that she needed to worry about her now because she could not help her parents. She asked the Jones if they had any ideas on how to get out, but they had nothing. Jenny kept thinking and thinking but it seemed impossible. Then suddenly the door opened to reveal the man in the clown mask. He dragged Mr.Jones out and said in a menacing and raspy voice "You will be next.", pointing to Mrs.Jones. She screamed and begged the clown not to take him. But, the clown shut the door and seconds later Mrs.Jones sobs were interrupted by the screams of Mr.Jones. It all went silent until Mrs.Jones quietly whispered to Jenny that she had remembered a vent above them. Jenny climbed onto a shelf and felt around the ceiling for a vent. She found it! She pulled the vent cover off and climbed in. She whispered for Mrs.Jones to come up, but right as she finished talking, the door swung open flooding the room with light. The clown that opened the door was drenched in blood. Mrs.Jones leapt up and tackled the clown to the ground. She yelled for her to go without her, so Jenny took of and hurried through the vents. Her heart was pounding out of her chest. She could here the clown running to follow the vent. Jenny found an exit to the bathroom, kicked it out vent cover, hopped down, opened the window, and ran into the forest behind the Jones' house. Once she got to the edge of the woods the heavy anxiety in her chest left her. She still kept running though because she knew there was a police station on the other side of the forest. Once Jenny got there the police asked her what happened and escorted her to safety. The police searched the forest and the Jones' residence but never found the men in the clown masks. Only Jenny's parents and Mr and Mrs Jones body's.
