“Aria, honey.. It’s time to wake up.” My mom said softly as she opened my curtains letting the bright sun blind me.

“Argh. No.” I mumbled burying my face beneath my pillow. I really didn’t feel like waking up, I knew that my mom wasn’t just going to drop our conversation from last night. My mom never knew why Zayn and I stopped talking. I’ve never told anyone. That part of my life has always been something I’d tried to forget.

“Sweetie, we need to talk.” My mother tried.

“Mom.” I sat up in my bed, “There’s no way I’m going to that lake house.”

My mom heaved a sigh, “You seemed so excited to see Tricia and the girls, you seemed like you couldn’t wait to leave. But then when Zayn was brought up you completely changed your mind. I know you guys got in a argument or something but you shouldn’t let that stop you from seeing the girls. They miss you.”

“We never got in an argument.” I stated.

“Then what happened?” My mom didn’t hide the concern in her voice. “The two of you were attached at the hip. You did everything together. Then you guys just stopped talking.?”

“He um.. Zayn-“ The memory of the last time I saw the brown eyed boy flooded to my mind. I felt a tear burn down my cheek. “We just grew apart.” I said.

“Really? Because whenever one of One Direction’s songs comes on the radio or they come on the T.V you turn it off, you won’t buy a magazine that does as much as mentions their name and whenever they’re brought up you start acting weird.” My mom pointed out.

I stared at her in disbelief. I honestly didn’t know what to say. She was right, when the Malik’s sent my family tickets to see the boys preform here in London a few months ago I made up every excuse not to go. I couldn’t bring myself to look at Zayn or even his band mates. He made me sick.

“Aria,” my mom said “I want you to come to the lake house with me.”

“No mom, please.” I begged. “I’ll do anything not to go.”

“I’m not leaving you here for three weeks alone. I’m sorry.”

“Wait!” A great idea popped into my head. “I can stay with Jane.” Jane is my best friend. She was the first person I met when I moved to London, she took me under her wing and introduced me to many of my friends and Austin. Jane’s more than just my friend we’re practically sisters. The only bad part of our relationship is that I’ve never told her about Zayn. Mostly because she’s a major Directioner and I knew she would freak out. But we have a deal to not talk about One Direction- which works out in my favor.

I looked up to my mom whose face was now white. “Actually.. You can’t stay with Jane-“ she trailed off. “Because she’s coming with us.” My mom smiled slightly.

My jaw dropped “SHE’S WHAT?” I yelled.

“Shh.” My mother tried to sooth me, “I knew you wouldn’t agree to go alone so I invited Jane, and her parents agreed. She’s actually downstairs wait-“

I didn’t even let my mom finish her sentence before I stormed downstairs, letting the door slam behind me. I'm going to kill her.

A cheerful Jane was sitting on the couch watching reruns of Friends. “Good morning sunshine.” She said as I approached her.

“Good morning?” I glared. “Why would you agree to come along?”

“The real question is.. Why didn’t you tell me you know ZAYN MALIK from ONE  DIRECTION?! You know I’m like in love with them and you didn’t tell me.” Her features dropped into a sad expression.
