Amara's POV

I ran through the alley out of fear. I glanced behind me trying to get a look of the person chasing me, but it was too dark to see.

I turned a corner hoping to loose the person chasing me. I quickly ran down the ally the sound of my boots hitting the pavement.

I ran until My foot hit something. I starred down to see something I would never had imagined, a teenage girl's body.

I yelped at the sight turning around to see face to face with the person in the dark hood. "Please..don't..hurt..me!" I stuttered, my eyes widening in fear as all I could see of the person was their piercing blue eyes.

"Ah!" I screamed opening my eyes. I sat up in my bed realizing it was just a nightmare.

Ever since I was a little girl I always had these terrible nightmares. The nightmares were the same every time, a mysterious person in a hoodie chasing me down an alleyway. Every Time I would somehow get cornered and look into their blue eyes. When I would wake up, I would find myself out of my bed. My sister said that I would always sleep walk. It did not matter if i locked the door before i went to bed. Somehow I would be somewhere else when i awoke.

Even though the person was chasing me I never felt like he was going to hurt me. The way his eyes looked into mine, I felt a sort of protection.

"Amara!" My sister Vivian yelled sprinting into my room.

"I'm ok, it was just another nightmare" I sighed. Although Vivian was only three years older, it felt as if she always had to take care of me.

"For heaven's sake, Amara, I thought you were being murdered!" She said catching her breathe.

"No, It's probably just my anxiety for tomorrow." I replied checking the time on my phone.

"Amara, you know we had to move." She said shaking her head.

"I know it's just nerve racking going to a new school." I replied laying back down.

"Get some rest." She leans in to peck me on the head before leaving the room.

I walked through the double doors and into the school. The anxiety curled into my stomach, I clenched my fists feeling my palms had moistened. All my nerves were on edge. I was immediately swept into the crowd of students.

My blood rushed in my ears and my pulse skyrocketed. I could feel my face become hot as some eyes starred up at me.

I had recently moved from Colorado to a small town in Washington called Carrolton Lake and today was my first day of my new school. I was the new girl and it was terrible. Everyone seemed so tall and far away as I walked through the hall. I knew it was just my nerves playing tricks on me.
