Who are you? Why do you know me? Why are you forgetting me?

She met him in the lobby of a strange hotel.

She met him again, except this time he seemed to know everything about her inside and out. He was rambling in front of her and she had no idea what he was saying. She began to feel angry and frustrated in defence until he suddenly stopped and pulled a face of realization.

"It must be really far back," he says "last time we...we..."

That's all he had said before she was swept away. Her mind went blank. The next time she found him in the pool of the hotel. She began to demand who he was and why he knew her. He seemed to make a very similar face to before. But quietly, he stood and asked,
"Okay, we can talk it out, you're okay with just talking right?".

He took her to the blooming gardens of the hotel, where he tried to explain how she had been having seizures, although he'd never seen her during an actual seizure, every time they met she was always confused about where she was and when she met him. As if she'd forgotten everything they did and said and went straight back to the first day they met in the lobby of this strange hotel.

"I did just meet you," she tried to clarify. His face pained at that. And she was swept away again.

This time she encountered him in the food court, she seemed unable to leave this hotel or leave him for that matter. Before she could even begin to question him again, he was sitting her down and starting to recount what he'd been doing, the exact details of what he had seen and done and what was going on in his life.
She was utterly confused, why are you telling me this?
"I was just talking to you in the gardens... I think you left me there" she began to tell him. He looked at her trying to understand,
"Did we? ". Everything is not making sense.

He started to ponder on what she told him, while she just sat there, speechless in front of him. Before she was swept away again.

This time she was running, she had just woken up and was running, and laughing. Her hand was being held and pulled by another person who laughed alongside her. Him again. He was shouting and calling to run faster and faster, giggling all the while. Her face turned distraught. She had no idea what they were doing. He seemed to notice this and came to a stop. He pulled her arms in and steadied her by the shoulders.
"You okay?" he asked. He seemed to notice something had shifted in her. Suddenly, without asking her anymore, he began to recount again, what he'd been doing, the things he had done that day and the smaller thoughts that passed by his mind, just randomly. She was still stunned and just as confused as ever, thinking again - why are you telling me this?

In this moment her time was lasting longer than usual, she got to stay longer listening to whatever he was saying. She cut him off and asked, "What is your name?".
He balked at her, a glint of sadness or disappointment wavered in his eyes. Then he steeled his face and continued to introduce himself.

She'd never heard of him or ever met him before in her life. Why is this happening and who is this person?

Unsurprisingly, the confused disorientation of time and events had left her with only one sure thing: him. He must be someone significant, she realised.
