"ahh shit" the cup of paint water spilled on the floor puddling around my feet. i stood up from the metal stool to retrieve a dirty towel i threw on my desk. good thing the floor was wooden so it was easier to clean up.

i wiped all the excess water spilled on the floor and went straight to the bathroom to squeeze the drenched towel down the sink.

the door bell rang

𝐤𝐢𝐨 𝐜𝐲𝐫 𝐩𝐨𝐯

the door swings, y/n stands there, holding the door knob with a small smile plastered on her face

"hey kio" she softly says

"hey, i was just wondering if you wanted to come over" i smiled at her

"uh yea sure let me just clean up a bit, you can come in" she steps aside to let me in

"thank you"

she smiles at me as she closes the door

"are you good with staying here or do you wanna come up" she points her thumb over her shoulder.

"uh sure i'll come up"

she nods and turns on her heels

𝐲/𝐧 𝐲/𝐥/𝐧

we made it to my room where i was currently painting at. i could hear the soft clicks of kio's shoes on the wooden floor behind me. i placed the paint palette back on top of my desk as kio sat on the edge of the bed.

"wait did you paint that?" he points to the rough portrait painting of billie eilish standing on the easel.

"yea, i've been working on it and the other one since this morning" i pointed to the landscape painting of the backyard's view, "i get bored easily"

"you can make good money out of these!"

"i've been trying to sell them but only a few people were interested"

everything was cleaned up so i just had to fix myself. i stood infront of the bathroom mirror and fixed my hair into a clean ponytail.

"im sure there's someone out there that will buy them, or like sell it to an art gallery, i mean they look so realistic, it's almost like its printed" he brushes his hand over the dry painting

"i'll keep trying to sell them" i smiled

"ready?" he looks up to me

"yup"

"okay, im just gonna let you know, they're mostly boys living with me" he informs me as we walked down the stairs

"it should be okay" i chuckle softly

we reached the front door, he stepped out before me, letting me lock the door.

his house was only a few steps away from mine so it was faster to get there. kio takes out his key and enters it into the door's slot. he pushes the door open slowly.

"hey im back!" he put his hands on both corners of his mouth to sound louder.

their house was pretty clean considering that they were mostly boys living here. about five guys and two girls came down from the stairs a few minutes later. the girl with red hair was holding hands with one of the guys that had blonde fluffy hair

"this is y/n, our new neighbor, y/n, these are the boys" he clears his throat as the two girls give him a glare, "and ladies"

"you could do sooo much better" the girl with black hair says crossing her arms

"dezi don't be mean, she's new here" the dirty blonde haired guy says while rolling his eyes

"what? i wasn't talking about her, i was talking to her" she walks over to me wrapping her arm around my shoulder, "trust me girl, these boys are a lot of trouble and i have to deal with them everyday" she groans dramatically

we all chuckle

"well im dezi, this is maddy, the other mom of the group, that's her boyfriend, jordan, that's my brother baby j, troy, josh and anthony" she points to all the people stand around us

i greet all of them one by one

"jesus christ josh! you really had to shotgun a white claw right now?" the guy who i was guessing named anthony groans

i laid in bed staring at the ceiling with the lights off.

i've been waiting for a message or even a call from my mom or dad. even just one, something saying 'goodnight' or 'i love you'.

nothing.

why am i even waiting.

they didn't even come home at nighttimes when i lived with them.

until my phone dings.

i quickly picked it up but it didn't come from mom or dad.
